Sam Hughes Retreat by Velo is a historic home located in the very desirable Sam Hughes neighborhood of Tucson. This home features 3 bedrooms all equipped with Queen beds and one pullout couch in the living room allowing comfortable sleeping for up to 8 adults. The heated pool in the large backyard and outdoor dining in the back of the home under the covered patio allows guests to enjoy Tucson's moderate climate year round. The location of this home provides guests easy access to downtown Tucson, University of Arizona, Banner Healthcare, and many of Tucson's finest dining establishments. The backyard is gated with additional parking allowing this property to accommodate a total of 3 vehicles, one on the street in front of the house and two in the back yard on the concrete pad. Sam Hughes Velo does allow long term stays so if you are planning to live in Tucson for a few months to avoid winter at home, or accept a temporary work assignment, please contact the host to see what rental terms are available.

Sam Hughes is considered one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Tucson. Easy access to downtown and the University of Arizona make this location very convenient for those visiting Tucson with plans to visit Downtown Tucson or the University



Other Things to Note:

Our software automatically discounts 10% for weekly stays and 20% for monthly stays and our posted prices is our best price, so please do not message us asking for a "special discounted rate."

The locks, the cleaners and our maintenance personnel all work on an automated schedules based on our published check-in time and check out times. In addition, we only have a narrow 5 hour window to prepare the property between the posted checkout time and the posted check-in time. For these reasons early check in or late checkout is no longer free and "may" be able to be purchased at a rate of $20/hour prior to check-in time, or $20/hour after listed checkout time.

We accept dogs not cats for an additional $120 nonrefundable pet fee

If there are any issues upon arrival or during your stay, guest is required to contact the host and give them the opportunity to cure any issues before leaving a negative review or asking for a discounted stay.

We no longer make exceptions to the published cancellation policy for any reason so if you want to be extra safe should you need to cancel, please purchase trip insurance.
