The dinning room table was set up as if it were ready for a dinner party, not inviting for a family that needed to sit down and eat a meal. We were a family of 7, teenager on to young adults. It said it slept 8, but we ended up sleeping two downstairs on the couch but had to search for bedding and pillows for them to use. It just didn’t seem welcoming for a family of our size. The cleanliness was just ok, I could tell surfaces were not wiped down such as table in the main bedroom and floors weren’t vacuumed completely. I am picky when it comes to cleanliness. The back yard was unusable as there was dog feces everywhere. There was marker scribble on the wood wall towards the top of the stairs and the railing at the top of the stairs was loose as well as the towel bar in the bathroom. The heat was up when we first arrived and it made the place way too warm. Overall, it served its purpose as a place to stay while we were up for my oldest son’s graduation but I doubt we would stay there again.

It was very quiet. The host gets an A for effort on an older home. It was very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms had been remodeled. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows, which is important to me. The kitchen was supplied with nice pans and utensils. For someone my age, the staircase was challenging, but it had good handrails. Check-in was easy. The host was quick to reply to any questions I had.

Fantastic Home!

My family has stayed in several BnBs and we all agreed this was by far the best one we have stayed in. The home was well maintained. Almost anything we needed was available. Excellent location to get to lots of activities.

It was exactly what we needed as we explored Fairbanks. Multiple appliances were ready for use. Beds were comfortable. The balcony was in disrepair, but we did not come for the balcony.
