Spend the summer at this rare, magnificent coastal paradise with nearly one mile of ocean frontage on Passamaquoddy Bay. You will be at the most Eastern point in the US, and the first to see the spectacular sunrises over the ocean. You will also want to have your Star Tracker app open as the night skies are clear without light pollution. Relax on the large outdoor porch with ample dining and seating space and enjoy the hot tub with its view of the Bay. You will see lobster fishing in the Bay in front of the property as the traps are being “pulled” with the day’s catch. Enjoy the lobster, scallops and crabmeat from Passamaquoddy Bay at one of the area restaurants or bring seafood home to cook on the outdoor grill, smoker, or gas burner for steaming lobster.
Play tennis on the HarTru tennis court, complete with a backboard and ball machine . Take walks on more than two miles of private forest trails. You have several private access points to the beach and to Lewis Cove where you can relax on the beach and hunt for sand dollars or sea glass. There is a launch site for kayaks and canoes and ample opportunity to watch shorebirds and seals close by. You can often see the osprey and eagles that have nests nearby as they fly by and dive for fish. Or you can walk through the 20 acres of blueberry fields and pick your own blueberries for dessert.
The large living room has panoramic views of the Bay, a propane fireplace, a large screen TV and comfortable seating for guests. In the evening, entertain yourself by playing mahjong, one of the many other available games including even bingo.
The comfortable dining room has a dining table with seating for 12 and is completely stocked with several sets of dinnerware and serving dishes.
The large chef’s kitchen comes complete with a commercial six burner stove, oven and broiler as well as a convection oven, microwave, and crisper and two dishwashers.
The breakfast nook has a picture window looking out to the Bay and connects the kitchen with the owner’s bedroom suite with full bath and jacuzzi tub. The bedroom has windows with views of Passamaquoddy Bay and the famous Canadian resort town of St. Andrews By the Sea across the Bay
The second floor of the house has three additional bedrooms and three bathrooms, all with water views.
The closest neighbor (1/2 mile) is our gatekeeper, whose house is not visible but who is happy to provide information on the property. There is a convenience store and gasoline station only 1/2 mile away. Complete shopping and entertainment are available in Eastport or Calais (approximately 20 minutes) and St. Andrews By The Sea, New Brunswick is approximately 45 minutes. (Don’t forget your passport)
There are nearby golf courses in Calais, Campbello and St. Stephen and the 18 hole championship course at the Algonquin in St. Andrews is rated one of the top 20 courses in Canada. Other activities in the area include whale watching, fishing and boating.
