This well loved chalet was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room for 4 adults a baby and two dogs. Very clean. The beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillow choices. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary supplies. Hot tub was a great way to end the day and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. The large front deck was a perfect place to enjoy the spring sunshine. We spent time hiking around, exploring the area. We found and spent time in the rec center pool; the castle was fun to walk around; Antlers is excellent for food, drink, game watching and just hanging out.
Emmett was very easy to work with, get ahold of, and answered questions quickly. The house was clean, exactly as described, and a nice quiet getaway. Exactly what we needed!!
Hot Tub was a great addition. The kitchen had all necessities. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towel. There was dishwashing soap laundry detergent available. Really enjoyed playing cornhole with my grandson. Lakes were not within walking distance to house.
Well appointed stay that lived up to the listing as a cozy chalet. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to enjoy board games, puzzles and relaxing in the hot tub.
We were looking for a cozy getaway for our family over Thanksgiving. This was perfect for us. Host was easy to work with, and the house was clean and inviting. Great experience!
We stayed during a cold December weekend and the fireplace was so nice! The home is pet-friendly, with lots of space to walk the dogs around outside. There is also a dog park not too far away. This is an older home with some of the "old home quirks." It has a lovely mix of a few authentic Mid-Century Mod items, plus newer handmade furnishings and some modern pieces that blend in well. We didn't use the upstairs area, but there is a play-space for kids, two bedrooms, and a newer looking half-bath.We easily found just about everything we needed (including a first aid kit!). The kitchen has all the basics (pots, pans, plates, etc.), plus dishwasher and a fridge with ice maker. We had a nice time and would stay here again!
Extremely lucky to be able to book this place as it is across the street from our place. This worked out perfectly for our daughter & son’s (not saying in law, because he is like a son to us) wedding reception at The Castle. The property was perfect for Friday night pizza party (Hixson’s pizza!) before the big event Saturday. The boys stayed here and LOVED IT! The cornhole game, firepit & hot tub were a hit! Thank you soooooo much for a great stay!
This is an excellent place to stay. The house is beautiful inside and well decorated. Very clean and cozy and stocked up on everything you need. My kids loved the upstairs/loft area. The hot tub was also a big hit. If you’re looking for somewhere in the area to stay, this is it!
The home was clean, remote, and quiet. The home also had solid internet. The main issues we experienced was the heat not working when we arrived, the owner quickly had the problem resolved getting the heat at a comfortable temp within a couple hours. Also the hot tub only worked the first night and was disappointing as the hot tub was one of the deciding factors for our staying here. Mostly an enjoyable stay otherwise.
Our recent stay at this VRBO property was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything about this rental exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and the thoughtful gestures made our experience truly unforgettable. First and foremost, the communication with the host was exceptional. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly
We stayed as we were checking out Canadian Lakes to potentially purchase property. The communication with the property owner was exceptional for this rental. The Lodge itself is cute though it is missing several things in the kitchen that could be helpful- like a wine opener, a knife, and better cookware. The area of Canadian lakes that this house is in must be the area that does not require people to keep their properties. There were several properties with junk in yards and a distressed look. The property owners allowed us to use our the kayaks and paddle boards, but I don’t know how you would get them to the lake because the location is quite far from the water, and there is no easy way to transport the gear. Didn’t matter because they were spraying chemicals in the lake while we were there so we were unable to use the beaches or lakes. We did golf while there and all the golf folks in course were great. The CL amenities like the pools were fine. Food in the area is sufficient, it’ll keep you nourished. Overall for what we paid I think this property could have been a bit nicer, but it’s cute and owner communication was good
