Important Information
-Air Conditioning: The home does not have central A/C. Fans and the natural mountain breeze help keep the lodge comfortable, even in July and August, nighttime temperatures can cool to around 50°F. Outside of the warmest summer months, evening temperatures are often in the 40s or below. We recommend opening the windows in the evening to enjoy the cool mountain air, then closing the windows and lowering the shades during the day to help keep the lodge naturally cool and comfortable.

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Summer brings opportunities to explore Yellowstone, book guided tours, fly fish nearby rivers, hike scenic trails, mountain bike, kayak or paddleboard, and enjoy a refreshing swim.

Winter transforms the area into a snowy playground. Explore Yellowstone by snowmobile from the West Entrance, ride the scenic Two Top snowmobile trails, cross-country ski the nearby Rendezvous Ski Trails, or enjoy sledding, tubing, and snowshoeing.

Yellowstone National Park Operating Dates

The West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park operates seasonally. The summer season typically runs from the 3rd Saturday in April through November 1st. The entrance closes for the fall shoulder season and typically reopens in mid-December for the winter oversnow travel season, which runs through mid-March. After the winter oversnow season ends, the West Entrance remains closed until the summer season begins in April.
