The condo was great, but not the resort
Many things not open or under construction that we were not made aware of before arrival. The pool bar was not open all week with no hours listed as to when it would be open, the gift shop never opened, the restaurant was only open for breakfast. I always pick a resort with an indoor pool because it’s still cold there over spring break and they took the pool enclosure down the day we arrived and blocked off the lazy river for two days. It made it absolutely miserable for swimming with a toddler because it was so cold and windy. To make it more frustrating, no one at the front desk even knew that it was taken down or what the plan was. It was never put back up before we left. Different elevators would randomly stop working at different times and an employee even said once “ya it’s been stuck on floor 7 all day. I’m not sure what’s going on,” but clearly didn’t call anyone to fix it. There was construction going on all week causing very loud banging all day long. There was no option for early check-in, and I told the front desk and VRBO owner that check-in on the VRBO app showed 3pm and they both said it’s not until 4pm, and the front desk even said “and your condo might not even be ready at 4pm”. Luckily, it was ready at 4pm, but was quite the process to get checked-in. I got a text on day 2 from the resort and I responded back with issues and they responded back that they were looking into it and would address issues immediately, but never responded back all week.
