I came for a bike race and stayed three nights. The house is great. Modern, clean and easy to navigate everything. Close to downtown and shops, easy to ride bikes or drive.
House was very nice and worked well for our family and friends. A/C in the master room was not working but was fixed after a quick message to the manager. Check In/Out was easy. Garage parking in the back is a bit small but we made it work. Location was right near several fun MTB trails(Leopards Loop, Choo choo, tech gnar, etc.) would stay here again!
Let’s start with the positives. The home is beautiful! Beds are comfy. Showers are amazing and spa-like. It’s close to downtown but not within walking distance. Very quiet.
The negatives - we had 6 adults in the home (advertised to accommodate 10 people) and I would not consider it well-stocked. Two small skillets that looked like they were recently purchased from a garage sale. No iron or ironing board. Told the host who asked if we checked the master bedroom. Yes. Never heard back. Ended up buying them. Two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. One roll of paper towels. No tissues or napkins. No extra towels. Had to replace the sponge in the sink because it was smelly.
We had a really enjoyable stay but a few small issues that can be easily remedied would have made this a five star review.
Our two families (4 adults, 2 teens and a 5-year old) had a wonderful time! We all fit in the house well and didn't feel too cramped. The kids enjoyed the pool table upstairs. One note, if you plan to use the twin daybeds in the loft, they have no privacy - it made early wake up’s with the little a challenge not to wake them. But - not a deal breaker. The house has a 2-car garage that is available for use. We used it to store our bikes and gear. It was nice not having to store 7 bikes in the living quarters! There is also parking for 2 cars in the drive way (off of an alley). Others would have to street park in the front of the house. The Blackstone in the little courtyard is a nice touch! We enjoyed grilling out one night. We biked to restaurants and the splash pad, too! Neighborhood trail access means you don’t have to haul bikes around to get to the trails! You can access Choo-Choo, Moo moo, and Boo boo from the neighborhood and continue to the All American. We did this daily and then rode Masterpiece across the street repeatedly! The only downfall is the ride home is all uphill - so you gotta leave some energy in the tank for that! :)
