Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Our family spend 4 nights in the beginning of January at this property. Location is great. Close to Wisp, grocery store, and restaurants. We had a full experience of snow days! Roads were plowed and it was enough parking spaces. Our little kids (3 and 5) and my patients did it have any problems with stairs. The property was equipped with bedding, towels, shampoo/conditioner/ body wash, plenty dishes in the kitchen . Soft carpet, comfortable beds. Toilets need to be cleaned more thoroughly. We had trouble to open the front door lock a couple times. The lock on back door in the basement didn’t work at all. Basement needs some lightning and sitting options. It was completely unusable for us in the evening. We would like to come back in summer. Looking forward for some improvement.

Perfect stay at Wisp!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Hibernation Hideaway! Perfect location. The townhome was very clean and spacious. Check-in was easy. Everything we needed was provided. We will definitely return!
I contacted Vacasa repeatedly by text between 10 am on Saturday and 9 am on Sunday to report a slip hazard on the steps at the front of the house. They were covered in thick ice, and I had children and my father (in his 80s) staying with me. They asked for pictures to show the concerns. I sent them. I also tried to remove the ice, but I was unable to. They then told me to get some salt and spread it myself and asked me to be patient while they tried to find someone locally to help. They advised that they would update me. Thirteen hours later, I received the next message, which was simply reminding me to check out. No one followed up with me or assisted in any way. I reminded them that the front steps were too slick for us to use, and still no one came.I sent multiple messages and photos as requested and was not helped, even though I reported it as a safety concern. This is unacceptable, especially because the other units had clear paths. This situation was not because of the weather conditions. It was because no one could be bothered to clear the sidewalk.

Great town house near wisp. Really cozy inside with soft (and clean) carpet. Really comfortable beds, and a cool loft. Stayed with my kids and we also had a great time with the air hockey. Would definitely stay again.
This is a nice townhouse near wisp, about a 5 minute drive. Everything was great. Lots of space, comfortable beds, comfortable couch, cool loft area, nice kitchen/ living area. Will definitely be back next year during the ski season.
My two teenage daughters and I had a relaxing long weekend in the Deep Creek area, and this condo was the perfect place. Spacious, well-furnished in the kitchen for cooking, and 4 decks to enjoy the quiet of the outdoors. Loved the air hockey table, and right next to Wisp slopes, we would love to come back in the winter!

This was such a great experience for our first trip to Deep Creek. The condo was immaculate. Since it is a pet friendly unit, we are always worried that it will smell or have dog hair. This condo was huge and priced so reasonably. We will definitely be back.
I can not say enough good things! Absolutely perfect place to stay. The lift and trails closest were closed but was not a far walk to the next open trail or far of a drive to the wisp lodge or the whitewater lodge at the top. Definitely put your mind at ease and have 4wd or awd to get up the road, it is decently steep and winding but wisp does a wonderful job at keeping the roads plowed and clear. Very clean cozy house easy check in and out process even easy to extend a late check in. Thank you so very much! 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
For starters, we did not end up staying at the property because of problems listed below.
First off, despite it showing as having AC originally, at some point that was removed. It seems the AC potentially broke at some point or it was misrepresented however the book inside the unit did state it had AC. So upon arriving at the unit the temperature inside was over 90 degrees. Unlivable for most and me especially with a health condition I couldn't stay there without risking my health.
Secondly, the unit was surprisingly dirty. Hell there was a dead spider hanging from the door handle of the front door we had to remove before even going in. There was trash still in the trash can, spiderwebs with spiders in quite a few locations inside, and a smell was coming from the sink/dishwasher area. There were also a lot of bugs in the unit (potentially let inside by the cleaners who likely had to leave the doors open due to the temperature). It looked like cleaners had focused on things like sheets/towels/surfaces, but had not cleaned the entire unit.
Finally, the front door had quite a bit of overgrowth around it which made it quite difficult to take any suitcases or bags inside. A hosta covers about 3/4ths of the front walk and the bushes on either side encroach. The only positive was privacy but that isn't really needed around a front door.
All in all, it was a terrible experience instantly and we ended up having to find an emergency backup hotel because of the temperature inside.
