House was clean, clear instructions to check in arrival. Great kitchen to cook our large group pasta dinner. Hot tub was a great temperature. Clear and easy checkout instructions. Would absolutely go back to this house for a great family ski trip at Okemo.
Good location. House has everything you need. Was a good base camp for driving around Vermont dirt roads. Coming across farms and cows with the changing leaves as a backdrop.
Wonderful stay at a beautiful property nestled in the woods. Cabin was spacious and had lots of amenities. Close to Ludlow, restaurants, plenty of activities. Worked well for 2 little kids. Would recommend!
This cabin was large and spacious for our family retreat to Vermont! We loved using the shuffleboard and pool table. Beds were very comfortable. There was an unexpected wind/rain storm and we lost power the first night for about 4-5 hours. We also had some trouble with the fireplace but the host was able to reach out with instructions on manual use vs remote use. Overall, the cabin fit our needs for what we needed!
Mostly all good. Just some important feedback. Dishes were dirty. There is not a lot of "equipment" (silverware, platters, bowls, etc.) also towels are scarce-we had to use bath towels for hot tub-would be helpful if it said we need our own beach towels, or just get extra. For what it's worth-it would also be nice if the path from the house to the hot tub is kept clean. If the hot tub is advertised and reflected in the price-it should be accessible. Some lighting out there would also be very helpful. Finally-an animal got into the trash on our departure day (Before we put our trash out), the garbage is easily accessible to bears/raccoons, etc.
This was a lovely property! The living room was warm and inviting, the kitchen spacious and well appointed, and the bedrooms cozy and comfortable. It was perfect for our group, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. It was easy to get to Okemo for the skiers, and a nice place to relax for the monsters; everyone was happy! Madeline was a lovely and accommodating hostess, and very responsive to questions and requests. We hope to come back next winter!

Thank you!! We look forward to having you back! :)
location was perfect pretty close to everything we needed. They were very quick to respond to our questions. The only issue we had was lack of towels. They did have a Hot Tub that everyone enjoyed, if being used I would suggest bringing your own towels so you are not using your bath towels they provide, as they are limited. It was a little hard cooking for the family with the limited bakeware. Other than those very minor things the home was perfect and would defiantly rent again, should they have us back. :)

About the host
Hosted by Madeline H
Hi! My husband and I love sharing our home with guests to have them create some of their favorite memories with their family and friends. We love to be outside - running, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, and being with our dog, Archie.
Why they chose this property
Tranquil. You walk outside and don't hear a thing. It is so peaceful and the perfect escape and place to relax after a long week at work or a day on the mountain!
What makes this property unique
The property - it is so secluded, but at the same time you feel very cozy in the log cabin with several awesome amenities. We always have a blast when we are there.
