Beautiful Cabin-convenient to town

We visited Gatlinburg for a long weekend with our family and this cabin was perfect! We’ve been to Gatlinburg many times and this cabin was so clean and so beautiful the best one that we have stayed in! Very close to town and comfortable! Would highly recommend staying here, lots of room and amenities!

Beautiful view of mountains

The children loved the theater and game rooms. They also enjoyed the outdoor pool and older ones enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. Great place for our family birthday celebrations. We did not care for all the construction around us. Also, road was windy, twisty, narrow mountain road. Loved the view of Smokies!

Great location!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful (at the top of the mountain) and we got to see multiple bears every day! A 15/20 minute ride to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, hiking etc. While the house is very nice, there aren’t enough living room seats nor dining/kitchen chairs for a full group of 15. And unfortunately the outdoor swing set wasn’t there as shown in the listing which was one of the deciding factors in choosing the house for my extended family with 5 children. There were a lot of other amenities for children which was nice, and plenty of pool towels for the hot tub and neighborhood pools (which we had to drive to). With a few more amenities for large groups and upfront communication this would definitely be a 5-star stay!

I'm an Alabama native, but the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee is my go-to weekend retreat. Gatlinburg was the destination for so many of my summer and Christmas trips as a child, and now it's even more special that I get to spend those times with my family as an adult.

Why they chose this property

The views at the Emerald Elk Chalet are unlike any other cabin I've been to in the Smoky Mountains. When we first saw the pictures of the property, we had to verify that the pictures weren't photoshopped - they honestly didn't look real. On top of the surreal views, this property has a space for every age group, and is a great place for friends and family to gather.

What makes this property unique

The Emerald Elk Chalet was designed with young families in mind. With a young family myself, we wanted to have features for all ages to enjoy. The outdoor playground is a favorite of our family.
