Pleasant and relaxing stay

We had a really nice and relaxing stay. The home is not new, but in good shape and it was very clean. Don’t expect an open floor plan, the kitchen is separate from family room. On the first floor, you have master with en-suite bathroom, kitchen with a sunroom, family room with gas fireplace and tv, washer/dryer and a half-bath near the garage access. Upstairs has a bedroom with two beds, a separate full bathroom, and another room with a couch. The room has glass door and opens to the family space that’s below. When someone sleeps in the small upstairs room, you can’t watch tv downstairs because it’s too loud. If you have younger children, be aware that the staircase that leads upstairs has railings that are too spaced out and a child may fall through. Same issue is with the outside deck. The house is located in a pretty remote area and the driveway is mostly gravel and rather steep. I wouldn’t attempt it in the winter unless you have a specialty truck. There are other houses close by so you will see cars and couple of driveways through the trees. While we stayed at the property, the local landscapers stopped by to blow the leaves, and the cleaning crew came a day early, but otherwise we never ran into any of the neighbors. The fire pit that’s located outside is nice, but it’s on the slope (the backyard is pretty sloped). The plastic chairs that the host provided were nice to have, but we couldn’t sit on them since the ground is sloped and we ended up falling forward. The grill was clean and looked new, and we enjoyed using it. It’s located close to the kitchen on the back deck. We had Verizon and there is no cell service at the house. The only way to connect to the internet and make calls using wifi is via satellite dish internet. When we measured the speeds, the download speed was about 7-15 mbps. Basically survivable while on vacation but not if you have to work while being remote. We would definitely recommend staying there if you want to be remote, looking for piece, quiet and solitude. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessities. The garbage will need to be taken to the dump as you leave the property.

Relaxing weekend

Had a great time. The place is very cozy and well equipped. It was close to Franklin and some good restaurants and things to do. As other reviewers have mentioned, the supports on the bannister are pretty far apart, which is concerning if you have small children. They could easily slip through. Also, the check out requirements are a little frustrating. We had to drive the trash a few miles down the street and also clean and put away all the dishes. A little annoying when you just want to get out and on the road. Especially with a 10am checkout.

Beautiful mountain cabin!

We had an excellent time staying at this beautiful cabin! Like others said the home is well stocked with everything, including a toaster and crockpot and all the detergents both dish and laundry. There is a fire pit with fire wood ready to go and little marshmallow roasting sticks in the cabinet. My kids and I had a great time playing all the board games in the house. There is a gas fireplace that starts up really easy too! We even saw a family of deer outside one morning! Overall, one of the best places we've ever stayed! Highly recommend!

Golf & Motorcyles

Rosewood Cottage was a great home base for riding our motorcycles on the beautiful mountain roads. We also played golf a couple of days at the near by Franklin courses. The week was a nice break from our normal routine and a bit cooler than home. We really enjoyed our stay.
