We had a great stay at the house for the weekend when we were in town for a family wedding. The home was very clean and spacious and we would stay there again!
Thanks
Our family enjoyed a short getaway during spring break. The house was a perfect place to call home with its family friendly kitchen, dining/living room area.
Loved the large modern living space. Perfect for visiting with family. Centralized location for shopping. We have family in Independence so we will stay here again.
Great home for a family of 8. Plenty of space in the living room. Showers were nice and hot. Beds were really comfortable. Plenty of parking space for 4-5 cars.
The hosts were amazing about getting back to us on questions! The house was well stocked with everything we needed! We had 5 adults and everyone had their own bathroom. We would definitely recommend this property.
Fantastic space and lots of it. Close to all you would need, but with an isolated feel surrounded by green space.
Beautifully updated with multiple places for various age groups to hang out.
What a find indeed!
Nice location to downtown independence and KC Host was easy to. Communicate with. The house slept 6 very comfortably, very spacious. Quiet location

Open drywall in the ceiling of the kitchen from a leak that was fixed and had lots of black colored mold in it and on it. That was not berry inviting. Also the pack n play that we very much needed for our toddler had no sheet for it. We let them know right away and they didn’t bring us one until the next day. Also a huge fly problem. By the time we checked out there were like 20 dead flies in the master bedroom. Just not a super inviting house or experience.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re truly sorry that parts of your stay didn’t feel inviting — that’s never the experience we want for our guests.
Regarding the ceiling, the water leak was new and we appreciated you notifying us about it during your stay. We offered to have someone come by immediately to inspect it, but we completely understood when you preferred not to have anyone come in and disturb your stay. As soon as you checked out, we had a contractor out and the leak was fully repaired immediately.
For the Pack ’n Play, we received the message late in the evening. We weren’t able to get a sheet to you before your toddler’s bedtime, but we made sure to have one delivered the next day. Sometimes small items like that unfortunately “walk off” between guests despite our best efforts to keep everything stocked.
We also appreciate you letting us know about the flies — that’s something we can quickly address, and we’ve already taken steps to prevent that from happening again. KC flies really can be unruly!
Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your feedback genuinely helps us keep improving for future guests.
This was a great house to come back to after a couple of long hot days at Worlds of Fun! Our family of 6 was able to spread out comfortably and enjoy the space. As the cook in the family I enjoyed the kitchen. And we appreciated being a little secluded, but only a 20 min drive or so to downtown KC and Worlds of Fun. Good communication with the host. Whenever we are back in town, we'll be back!
First, finding the house was a bit of a challenge. It's a bit hidden from the main road and not all map programs seemed to know where to go. The host is trying to get that corrected.
The online photos did make the rooms look a bit larger than they actually were, AND we old folks with bad knees found the stairs to the bedrooms a bit challenging, but other than that, it was the perfect headquarters for a long overdue family reunion.
The host was amazing, responding instantly every time I called with a question.
We had six adults staying at the house with nine others who stayed with family but came for meals and games. We were thankful that we'd brought two extra card tables and six chairs.
Updated appliances, especially the large refrigerator/freezer, made our food prep and clean up a snap. Kitchen was well supplied, but glad we'd brought extra utensils since there were only enough for eight individuals. The super dishwasher drawer was impressive, but an old-fashioned double tray style would have been preferred.
In the master suite, the double shower was amazing. The double sink with vessels was also impressive, but difficult for me at 5'3" to reach. The queen bed was cushy and comfortable.
There was adequate space for visiting with others in small groups or individually at the dining table, in the living area, or on the deck.
Overall, it was perfect, with beautiful backgrounds like the fireplace for family photos and a huge yard to provide privacy.
