About this property

Romantic Waterfront on Lake Michigan - conveniently located to explore the UP

Brand new custom home that will be finished in January of 2024 - relax on the deck listening to the waves lap in from Lake Michigan while looking at the private sandy beach 65 steps below. Walk for miles on the beach and rarely others. In 20 minutes or less visit St. Ignace, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Lake Brevoort, Cut River Bridge, eat pasties, smoked fish and fudge while enjoying our special place. ATV, UTV, snowmobile or hike right from our driveway which is located on a quiet secluded road with State of Michigan land across the road from our house.

We will have an outdoor sauna installed spring of 2024. Since this property is new please view our other listing VRBO #2858722 in Paradise, MI to get a sense of previous guest reviews.

There are 3 exteior cameras at our home - one on each door and one pointed down the driveway to the street.

Enjoy day trips to Petoskey, Les Cheneaux Islands and Cedarville/Hessel, Drummond Island, Sault Ste Marie, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi and Marquette. There are so many amazing places to explore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Make this your comfortable headquarters for a romantic visit or family get away.

Shepler's Ferry offers many unique cruises both east and west of the Mackinac Bridge in the Straits of Mackinac. They include sunset and lighthouse tours to name a couple. Also do not miss the St Ignace fireworks and festivals throughout the summer.

Fishing is fantastic on Brevort Lake and other nearby locations or you can hike, kayak, canoe, snowshoe or cross country ski throughout the area.

What a wonderful stay! The house has an amazing location! Beautiful property, super clean, private, and everything you would want for a beachfront rental. We did day trips from the house and it was perfect launch spot. Would stay again!

We LOVED our stay in this home! The setting along the banks of Lake Michigan is AMAZING and the views are breathtaking! The covered back porch and the beach were our favorite places to spend time. We appreciated the attention to detail inside the home, from the luxurious bed linens to the thick towels and well equipped kitchen. The owners were very responsive to questions and lovely to work with. We wish we could have stayed longer, but do hope to be back some day! This home is a treasure!

This house is amazing and is just steps down to a private beach on Lake Michigan. The deck has beautiful views of the lake. The house was spotless and the sauna was an added bonus. Tim and Sue responded instantly when we had questions. Perfect place to stay for peace and quiet but close to St Ignace for shopping and the ferry to Mackinaw Island. This place is everything you could ask for in a vacation home. Thanks Tim and Sue!!!

Loved the property. The sauna and lake were just what we needed as well. Very clean, very nice, and very comfortable. And the communication couldn't have been better. I can't say enough nice things about this place. I recommend it for everyone.

Amazing Wilderness Getaway

This was the perfect spot to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! Modern home had great decor and was very cozy. Sunset views over the lake, beach access. Great location, Taquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Mackinac Island were all very accessible. One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. Would not hesitate to book here again!

Perfect UP lake house!

My family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Newly built house, very clean a with a great location right on the lake. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was perfect. Being a rural area the water is highly mineralized and not ideal for drinking however the kitchen has a filtered water spigot which was perfect. We were very comfortable and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful UP Property

We were looking for a beautiful location with a view of water to relax for a few days and recharge. Tim and Sue’s home delivered more than we had expected. The home was brand new and very clean upon arrival. We didn’t want to leave the porch while we listened to audiobooks and took in the views of Lake Michigan. The house was well laid out and comfortable to stay in. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Tim and Sue had great communication about the property, answered any questions we had and provided great pre arrival information. We look forward to booking our next stay at this amazing property

Perfect home for a Michigan Upper Peninsula Visit!

This home is a straight 5 stars across the board. The home is stunning set right on Lake Michigan shores. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. The home is perfectly clean and cared for inside and out. The owners are on top of all communication and exceedingly friendly. We could not have rented a better home for our Michigan vacation! Many thanks to Tim & Sue for sharing their home with us!

Our stay was overall great. The property was beautiful and well kept. They had everything you could need as far as towels, shampoo, and kitchenware. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because we did notice that there were undisclosed cameras outside on the porch area and by the entrance door downstairs. All of the sources that I have read state that cameras on the property should be disclosed. This created skepticism that there could be other cameras on the property that we didnt know about. Also, just be aware that there are quite a few steps down to the beach. There are platforms in between each section of stairs which makes it not as bad.

Beautiful Home - Quiet with beautiful views

My husband and I are not able to get away often and we booked this within 24 hours of arrival. The host was very informative and gave us all the information we needed before we arrived. We were grateful to be able to get away to such an amazing place. The kitchen was wonderful with a beautiful view. We had everything we needed. TV, internet and cell service was great the entire time and we were able to communicate with work if needed. We loved sitting out on the deck relaxing in the quiet. The shower was really nice and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the decor and the work that went into building this home. It was a blessing to stay here. Thank you so much we are grateful. The home was perfect.

Wonderful Spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim and Sue's place in Brevort! The house was clean and comfortable and we absolutely *loved* having the private beach on Lake Michigan to hang out at. Our kids swam every day. We loved having coffee on the porch each morning with a view of the lake and trees. We didn't use the sauna, but I imagine that would be amazing in the winter. This location was a good jumping off point for day trips around the UP, but I would definitely advise stopping in St. Ignace for groceries before checking in, as there are not grocery stores nearby.

The Perfect Getaway

Our stay here was absolutely perfect! This is a super clean home with gorgeous views. The kitchen is well stocked with items for preparing food at the house and the bed was extremely comfortable. Communication with our host, Tim, was excellent and we look forward to renting from Tim and Sue again in the future. We chose to venture out to Pictured Rocks and Tahquamanon Falls during our stay but could have easily spent our whole trip right here at the house! The beach is clean and the entire property is nestled in a quiet area. We saw foxes and bald eagles and loved hearing the water nearby. This home exceeded our expectations and we are so glad we booked Romantic Waterfront-on lake Michigan!

Beautiful location for a modern cabin

This house was beautiful top to bottom! Loved the whole lay out. If you don’t like or can’t do stairs this is not the place for you. Appliances were brand new ; well actually everything is brand new! From cookware to towels. Loved it all! What would I add to make it even better a couple of throw blankets for cuddling on the couch. A high top two person outside eating area would have been perfect for the great view and more coffee. Thank you for letting us enjoy this amazing home.

Loved this place

We stayed for three nights and the only thing I can complain about is the weather. Ha! Honestly the property was great and as described. Clean, well kept. I just can't think of anything other than good things to stay. My teenagers loved the open basement with two large beds and their own tv and bathroom. Master bed and bath were fine. Kitchen was large enough to fulfill our needs. We did eat in twice and the kitchen had everything we needed. If we ever get back the UP, we may have to stay here again.

First trip to the UP

We found the view amazing. The beach was private and relaxing. We enjoyed the sauna on our last evening. The home was brand new and modern. It has a bit of a cold feel from the stone floors. I'd suggest bringing slippers and a blanket. I stayed here with my husband an 2 teen children. We were a little tired of the stairs by then end of our stay. The beds were very comfortable. Showers her hot and we loved the stones on the showers floor. We used the kitchen to cook several meals and found it well stocked. Very beautiful home. We enjoyed the UP and our stay. Within an hour to the bear park and the lower Tahquamenon falls.

We started to explore the UP and fell in love with the quiet outdoor life. We built our home on Whitefish Bay along Lake Superior for our family and decided to share it with other folks through the vrbo platform. It has been an amazing and rewarding experience seeing couples and families travel from all over the United States to enjoy the things that made us fall in love with the area. This ultimately led us to do a second home on Lake Michigan with a lot of the same features as our Lake Superior home. We look forward to hosting you at one of both of these little slices of Paradise.

Both our homes are tucked away in quiet areas with the most amazing views and are centrally located to explore the best of the Upper Peninsula. The ability to walk sandy Great Lakes beaches for miles without seeing many people or buildings is unbelievable.
