Key Features:
Unbeatable Location: Nestled in the heart of Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula, our property is strategically positioned to allow easy day trips to several must-see destinations:
Mackinac Island: A short drive brings you to ferry services leading to this enchanting island, renowned for its car-free streets, historic architecture, and world-famous fudge.
Soo Locks: Located in Sault Ste. Marie, these engineering marvels are among the world's largest and busiest locks, offering a fascinating glimpse into Great Lakes shipping.
Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Home to one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, the park's stunning cascades are a sight to behold in any season.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore: A scenic drive takes you to breathtaking sandstone cliffs, pristine beaches, and diverse hiking trails along Lake Superior's shoreline.
Trailside Access: Begin your snowmobiling or side-by-side adventures right from our driveway, with direct access to extensive trail networks. No need for trailering—simply gear up and ride out!
Year-Round Recreation: Beyond snowmobiling and side-by-siding, our location offers a plethora of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and boating, ensuring every season is packed with adventure.
Also, in full disclosure we do have security cameras monitoring both the front and back door for insurance purposes.
We do keep this cabin fully operational for snowmobile season. The trail is only about 1/2 mile up the road from the home, pretty much direct access. The cabin is at the end of the road, so I do have to caution longer trailers, there might not be enough room to back up and turn around. Smaller trailers shouldn't have an issue. If you have a longer trailer there is parking at the gas station in town, you can stay at. They do charge $5 a night to park your trailer; I will gladly pay this for you just let me know you're doing it. If you have further questions about parking, please feel free to ask.

About the host
Hosted by Greg Bawol
We live and work in St. Ignace, raising our two boys and trying to enjoy everything our beautiful area has to offer.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it is quiet and gives us an opportunity to spend some quality time as a family when not renting it to guests. Playing on the shoreline, enjoying the swing as we watch the sunset, throwing a tennis ball for our beloved lab all day. When we found this house, we instantly fell in love with it's size and location and are so excited to share it with our family, friends, and guests.
What makes this property unique
It's located on a private drive, so you won't find a lot of people buzzing past constantly. We have spent a lot of time, renovating it to be comfortable for you as well as ourselves. We take pride in our rentals and strive to provide as many essentials and special touches to make it feel homey yet relaxing.
