THE CABIN Soaring 30-foot tall A-frame tongue-and-groove cathedral ceilings welcome you as you enter the main living space off the wrap-around deck. An impressive 30-foot tall, floor-to-ceiling wall of windows allows the natural light to pour in and the magnificent views looking out. Long-range, multi-layered mountain views are certainly a show-piece here! The Smoky Mountains are ever changing, the sunlight casting a wide spectrum of colors and shadows across the mountains and clouds, giving a different look to the view all throughout the day. The fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and main living spaces all flow together for a roomy, light and open floor plan. Big 60” LED TV for viewing your favorite shows/movies. The floor-to-ceiling stack stone, wood-burning fireplace is perfect for gathering around during those cooler months. You’ll also enjoy the warmth and character of the authentic hand-hew logs and exposed rafters by which the cabin was built; for that rare, genuine log cabin feel! Back out onto the expanded deck, you’ll find ample outdoor living space to soak in those “wow” views! Speaking of soak, an o-so-relaxing seven-seater Hot Tub (w/ waterfall feature) awaits to melt away all your cares in the world after a long-day of outdoor adventures. A gas grill is also provided for those master chefs! You’ll also be able to watch the Ober Mountain Aerial Tram pass as it moves up/down the mountain off in the distance. Back inside, on the main level past the kitchen, you’ll find your full sized washer and dryer, full size bathroom, and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a Queen Bed, while the other has a Full-Size Bunk Bed, along with a Queen Bed. Perfect for the kids or extra guests! Both Bedrooms have their own LED Smart TV’s. Back out into the living space and up the stairs you’ll find the open loft space, primary bathroom and primary bedroom. The open loft has game tables for the kids (pool table, air hockey and foosball). Walking past the loft you’ll find the spacious primary bedroom, with a King Bed, its own en-suite full bathroom and LED Smart TV. Also just off the primary bedroom is its own private covered porch overlooking the mountain views. Perfect for that warm cup of coffee first thing in the morning or evening beverage; secluded from the rest of the outdoor living space. Or, stay cozy in bed on a cool morning and admire the mountain views out the sliding doors right from the King Bed! THE LOCATION The cabin’s location is among its greatest advantages. You are literally a 3 minute drive (less than a mile) to downtown Gatlinburg, same to the National Park Entrance, and/or to Ober Mountain. Located in Chalet Village, it is one of the most sought after locations for rentals due to its super convenient proximity to all the area attractions (both action-based in town and/or nature-based in the park), yet nestled away on the mountainside in a wooded established mountain home community. You won’t need to fight long lines of traffic trying to get to Gatlinburg or the National Park with its super close proximity to both! A convenience factor that’s invaluable for anyone who knows how busy the area can get tourist/traffic wise during peak visitation months! Another huge bonus is having full access and usage of three resort-style swimming pools, kids pool, tennis courts, table-tennis, kids playground, gym with workout equipment, clubhouse to lounge or gather with larger groups, and more. Access is available beginning Memorial Day through Labor Day each year. THE SURROUNDINGS The road to the cabin is completely paved and well maintained by the City of Gatlinburg. Easy (and quick) 3 minute drive from Gatlinburg. The cabin’s driveway is also paved, though the driveway itself is on the steeper side. Any 2WD vehicle can navigate up/down just fine, however for those not accustom to "mountain driving", probably best to try and arrive during daylight hours on your check-in day, so you can maneuver up the driveway with clear sight. The driveway curves around on an incline; up to where the front steps to the deck is (only four steps up from the driveway to the deck). Guests are able to position and park their vehicles as desired either at the top of the driveway or just below along a middle-landing area and walk up. In the winter months, when there is heavy ice or snow, that would make the driveway tricky, given the incline. What’s great about the location is that the City of Gatlinburg keeps the roads throughout Chalet Village well salted and plowed, so access to/from the cabin is typically good, even shortly after snow events. Parking at the bottom of the driveway (near the roadway) is best in that instance to allow easier in/out access. TV / WIFI / Cell service Yes, there is cable TV available (on all four TV’s). All three bedroom TV’s are Smart TV’s, connected to the WIFI for streaming, etc. WIFI/Basic Internet is provided complimentary. Cell service is typically strong at the location of the cabin, so most guests shouldn’t have an issue making calls/internet using their own devices, if desired, or via the provided WIFI. Or, unplug from it all (we recommend this approach best)!

Its a good place to stay but it needs a little love.
First off the driveway is trash. Its a good thing we had a 4wd pickup truck. Only half the lights work. The remotes for the tvs are duckt taped and barely work. The cabin smelled musty and you could tell it had sat unrented for a while ause the christmas decorations were still up. The pool table outside is pointless. The stairs are just loose plywood. It has a great view and the beds are comfortable but thats about it. It needs some love and it would be fine.

This is exactly what we wanted. Amazing location, super close to gatlinbhrg. Great price for a house with plenty of room for our family of 6! And welcomed pets. Bedrooms and bedding as described. A stock of starter items and clean towels for us to use. Hot tub with an amazing view of the city. The cleaning done was immaculate. Cleanest oven I’ve ever seen. Very happy we picked this place. To be real, renters should know the finishes and updates in the house are not super high quality. It’s not super updated and not perfect at every corner. Vibe is honey do list items not quite done thoroughly. I’m very critical in my own house, but not the type to care about the finishing touches on vacation so we loved it… If you’re expecting perfection and fully updated, keep looking. If you want to stay in a cabin that’s clean and fits your family, stay here. The driveway was a surprise and we’ve stayed in the mountains with steep driveways before. If you’ve never stayed in the mountains, or are thinking about underestimating this driveway, you’re in for a surprise. My AWD handled it fine, but you’ll want to be prepared. The reason for the brautiful views in mountain cabins is because they’re on the side of a mountain. That means steep driveways!Again we loved it. If I visit gatlinburg again, I will bring my family here!
