If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat, this modern farmhouse filled with natural light, vaulted wood ceilings and a beautiful open floor plan awaits you. Pick the front porch with rockers or the back deck with tables and chairs for your morning coffee or evening nightcap with breathtaking views of Ohio’s rolling hills, meadows, sunrises, sunsets and wildlife - there’s a good chance you’ll see bluebirds, blue jays and other birds as well as deer strolling by the house or grazing in the meadows.

If you can pull yourself away from the beauty outside, you will find all the makings for a great getaway inside! The great room is the centerpiece for this home. With the kitchen, dining, living room all in one large space, it gives guests room to spread out while still feeling very much together. This kitchen is perfect for your vacay, culinary needs with an expansive island, big enough for prepping food and sitting/conversing with the cook. It also has all the staples including a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator with icemaker and more. Watch the game or your favorite movie on the Roku Smart TV or play games/share a meal around the table. For sleeping, three bedrooms are located on the main level. Slide back the large barn door to reveal the primary suite, designed with relaxation in mind. Here you will find a king bed and an adjoining spa inspired bathroom with a large, walk-in shower and soaking tub. Across the great room you’ll find a set of bedrooms with a bathroom. The first of those bedrooms features a king-size bed, while the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Between these two bedrooms is a full bath with a tub and shower to round out this wing.

Have fun in the basement playing ping-pong, foosball, or board games. And there is another Roku Smart TV for watching your favorite movie or sport.

The best way to top off a fun-filled day is by making s’mores at the fire pit while the sky is magically changing colors with the setting sun, and then gazing at a star-studded sky. Firewood is provided. Our driveway is black-topped for easy access.

Area attractions - Uptown Athens and Ohio University are about a 25-minute drive. Historic Parkersburg and Parkersburg WVU are approximately a 30-minute drive. Enjoy a couple of local wineries like Shade Winery and Pleasant Hill Winery, or breweries in Athens. Outdoor activities at Strouds Run State Park and Desonier State Nature Preserve are a 20-minute drive, and Hocking Hills is an hour away. And, don’t miss the nationally recognized Meigs County Farmers Market, only 30 minutes away.
