Our stay was amazing. The place was amazing. There was dry wood for a fire. There was a mini split for heat and cooling and there electric heat. The shower was amazing. Theres washer and dryer. Theres a trail head right across the rode. Its right on the lake on really a two track off the beaten path. In general it was a star stay. It really did set the bar hi.
We loved our stay here. The cabin is beautiful! Its in a great location. We were able to explore and still have time to spend enjoying the cabin and campfire. We would definitely like to stay here again. Its so peaceful!!
Our family of 4 loved our stay here.It was centrally located to our day trips, Pictured Rocks, Tahquemann Falls, and Manistique. It was wonderful to be able to come back to this peaceful oasis every night to enjoy the back deck, fire pit. My son fished every day and we enjoyed quality family time, gadget free. Don’t hesitate to stay here

Thank you very much for the nice review. You are welcome back anytime!
Our family of 4 easily stayed at this great cabin. The views of the lake are very pretty and we saw lots of wildlife - including lions, beavers and a bald eagle! The cabin is well-equipped and served us well for our week in the UP. The location made it easy to see many of the sights of the UP. Highly recommend!
We have booked many stays this one by far the best. Home was exactly as described. Very clean great location. Owner was attentive with our needs.
I highly recommend this rental!

Thank you very much with staying at our place as well as the review! We really appreciate it and hope you come back soon!
We LOVED our time on the property! The pictures didn't quite do it justice how beautiful it was!! My husband and I stayed with our 4 children (7, 11, 13 and 15) and the set up was perfect! We enjoyed the fire pit and our 7 year old could not stop watching the beavers crossing in the water. We also saw a bald eagle, herons, and a snake. It was a beautiful, quiet get away and the beaches off of 2 were incredible! We took day trips to Pictured Rocks, Kitchi-iti-kipi, Taquamanon Falls, Grand Marais....we went all over and had a beautiful, well equipped home base to come back to. Thank you for your hospitality! We will be back!!
We booked a long weekend to attend the Seney Lumberjack festival which was just 25 minutes away. We got a lot more than we anticipated. This cabin is fully appointed with air conditioning and all the cooking and barbecuing equipment you would need. The surprise was how peaceful and beautiful our spot on the lake was.
We kayaked in the beautiful bay. We had s’mores in the lovely fire ring area. We slept so well surrounded by only sounds of nature.
And yet it was relatively central to many different U.P. attractions.
We will definitely be back!
Overall cabin was a nice spot to stay for weekend. We spent most of our time on the front deck, playing cards. Rowboat available to take out, caught a few perch and pike. Water levels quite low on this particular side of lake and US-2 carried over the lake so at times loud. Front bedroom, box/mattress worn out (needs replacing), smart TV requiring you to have subscriptions, was hoping to catch a few college football games (may have worked with just some rabbit ears and tv), kitchen table saturated with cleaning product/oil and not wiped down well. Outdoor fire pit area was nicely set up (byow), kitchen big enough to cook for family, if not from up north the location is pretty central and close enough in driving distance to reach UP attractions (seney, curtis, superior & pictured rocks/Lake Michigan beaches/marquette, etc.), good/easy communication with owner during stay- was flexible and allowed my brother to visit from the western U.P. and bring along his dog. Overall family had a nice weekend.
The cottage on Lake Milakokia was perfect for my family. We visited with my in-laws and tween son and nephew. The cabin was beautifully decorated and fit our family of six perfectly. The loft with three twin beds was perfect for the kids.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, spices, and other essentials. We made several meals and used the grill often.
My husband, nephew, and son enjoyed fishing off the dock. The kids were excited to catch and release several fish. We were pleasantly surprised by the three kayaks and storage container with life jackets and outdoor toys. The kids had plenty non-tech activities to keep them entertained. We saw a lot of wildlife, too.
We wanted a rental on the water that would allow us to explore the Upper Peninsula. This cottage was perfect! We alternated days at the cabin with days exploring. The cabin is about 1.5 hours from shipwreck museum, one hour from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and thirty minutes from Manistique where we picked up groceries, walked along Lake Michigan, grabbed dinner, and visited the farmers market on Wednesday from 5:00-6:30. The ferry to Mackinaw Island is only an hour away, too.
