Beach Please was built in 1994 and has withstood numerous hurricanes and major storms, but that being said she may show her age on occasion. I do the very best I can to fight the elements and keep her updated but as you can imagine sometimes it is difficult. The inside of the home should be well kept and be issue free. The outside however can change rapidly. It does not take much for a storm to damage the aesthics of the house. If you find something that is not to your liking let me know asap and i will do my very best to remedy it if at all possible. Our little home is definitly not perfect, but we love it and we hope you will also.
North Topsail Beach is a more family friendly beach with far less traffic and congestion then other local beaches. Our beautiful shore line is one of the best kept secrets in North Carolina. North Topsail features amazing fishing both in the ocean and the intercoastal, great restaurants on the island and just across the bridge, and a great welcoming atmosphere. This is one area you have to see for yourself to understand.
Topsail offers 26 miles of clean white sandy beaches and glistening blue ocean waters. Our family beach offers something for every age and every dream. Experience marvelous sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean, stroll our quiet beaches looking for seashells, kayak through the marsh and observe the wildlife, go fishing along the shore or from one of the three piers, or simply relax and let time pass you by without a care in the world. The possibilities are endless on North Carolina’s best kept secret, Topsail Island.
Topsail (pronounced “Topsul”) is rich in history. It is said that the name originated during the days of piracy. Pirates would hide their ships in the channels behind the dunes, wait for the passing merchant ships and attack them. As the sailors became wise to the pirate’s hunting game, they would watch for the tops of the pirates’ sails showing over the dunes – hence the name “Topsail Island”.
Today, Topsail Island is a great family beach vacation destination. Our guests and homeowners come from all over the country, and they all agree that Topsail is a special place. They believe that Topsail is just like the beach they went to as a child.
Beach Please! is a cozy 3 story home that is one of the few Beach Homes that allow pets on the island so don't wait book now.

Absolutely wonderful! The host was very nice and understanding and communicative! It was definitely the perfect place for us for our little bachelor/bachelorette party!
Place was fantastic. View of the water from both the front and back. And very accommodating for those with four legs with a nice fenced in area out back.

Thank you for the amazing review. We would love to host you and your family again!!
We enjoyed eating outside on the deck - beautiful views of the sunset over the inlet. Beach access was close and an easy walk. Just fyi - lots of stairs to climb in this duplex.
Excellent location. Property is in a state of repair but it had nice amenities and the owner is very responsive. Also the fenced backyard was perfect for our two small dogs

Thank you for the great feedback. You and your family are welcome back anytime!
We had a wonderful family vacation at Beach Please. The views are great and the walk to the beach is not a long distance at all. Dan called us on our way in which was so kind and unexpected! He was super responsive with the one issue we had and they came right away (within the hour) to fix it.

House was neat and clean. It's an older home, but was comfortable and perfect for our trip. Had a leaking issue on the first night. Dan had someone come by the very next morning to take care of it. We had a great time and I would highly recommend staying here.

Enjoyed the stay very much. House is beautiful but does need some work. Did notice some mold or mildew in basement and ceilings in kitchen. We didn’t receive wash cloths or dish towels so we had to go and buy. House is really beautiful just needs a little more rocky to make it perfect.

I will address any issues on the property. In the future please call me and let me know if you encounter an issue so i can get it fixed immediately. The towls and wash clothes are provided as a courtesy for free. Most properties down at the beach do not provide them.
We really enjoyed our time at North Topsail Island. The beach was not crowded and the house is convenient to a beach access as pictured. We had everything that we needed and Dan communicated with us before, during and after our vacation. The house is as pictured and offers some privacy since the master is on a separate floor by itself. We also appreciate that there are bathrooms for each bedroom and a half bath in the kitchen/dining and living room space. Also lots of decks to enjoy the birds and occasional sail boat in the sound. We will definitely stay again.
The location was great. Easy booking and checking in. Digital keypad made it easy for the family to come and go. Pet friendly with a bowl of water out. 3 beautiful story home that which has mostly been remodeled. Has dishes, grill, chairs for the beach and more. T The decks on each floor whad

This rental provided us with all the comforts of home plenty of bedrooms with their own bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen which made things very easy preparing meals, they had everything I needed. !!! Loved the convenience of washer and dryer and dishwasher ! Really enjoyed the sunsets at night on the deck and the short distance to the beach. The views from the home on every level were beautiful. We loved that our dog can travel with us and enjoy the vacation as well. Our college teenagers are living in NC and they had fun popping in and out to see us. We learned 2 new games from the house’s game collection , rook and Indian parcheesi ! It was very nice to connnect to our Netflix and Amazon Prime Video accounts to enjoy our family movie nights. They really thought of everything here, we hope to be back ! PS loved the keyless entry !

Joel,
Thank you for the kind and wonderful review. Guest like you and your family are what it is all about for me!
1. Door handles on 2 sliding glass doors are hanging or have fallen off. 2. The place is in dire need of paint. 3. There is considerable mildew on first floor entrance door which goes down to basement. There are small amounts of black mold in air vents on 1st floor bedrooms.4. A major issue is the garbage disposal electrical connection. Its power is actually plugged into a “power strip”, which is located under the sink and is powered by an extension cord to an outlet in the garage. The garage door is also connected by cord to the outlet.I do believe that this is a major code violation.5. Last but not least is the garage itself. Rodent feces covered the entire garage floor when we arrived and had to be removed before we could use the garage. I can send photos of everything I have listed.

I am sorry you're unhappy with your trip. After we spoke I sent the handyman out to inspect the handles that were falling off as you stated and there was a loose screw on them, which he tightened. They were not falling off as you claimed and he addressed the issue while you were there. The sliding doors get used a lot and over time they can become loose.
As for the garbage disposal being connected to a power strip. That was a temporary fix to allow you to have a garbage disposal while you were there, instead of waiting for the electrician to come out. That has been corrected and is now connected to a switch. The garage door plug would not reach the outlet and thus an extension cord was used to connect it. This does not violate any code as all the safety measures were in place for the garage door to stop if something blocked it from closing.
We went out and inspected for rat feces or any rodent infestation and could not find it. I personally went to the house after you left and did not find anything. When it does rain a lot on the island it does drive the moles out of the ground and they seek a dry area which is unfortunately the garage since the house sits on stilts. With an open garage like that they can come and go as they please and there's no way to control that.
I also had my handyman inspect for mold and we did not find any. The garage door has rust showing under the paint since it is metal and it does show as black areas through the paint. I repainted the door, but until it is replaced it will continue to happen. It has been like that for the 5 years I have owned the property. The salt at the beach plays havoc on all metal surfaces.
We spoke about these issues and I assumed that they were all addressed according to your satisfaction, since you stayed the entire week and I never heard another thing about them. We even spoke after you mentioned these and they were not mentioned again.
It's unfortunate that rather than reach out to me directly you chose to leave me a negative review. This is the first one I've received since renting the property and I take these very seriously. My house is over 30 years old right next to the ocean. As you can imagine it takes a heavy toll on the house and I do my very best to keep it up.
I wish you the best in finding a place to meet your standards.

I am confused. We spoke several times and not once did you express any displeasure in your trip or my property. Your family even caused damage to my property and left a large mess which cost me an extra cleaning fee, which I did not charge you for. I guess the old saying “no good deed goes unpunished” is true. What a shame.
About the host
Hosted by Dan Stalfire
We are a local family and not a big business. We love going to the beach and spending time together. Some of our favorite beach activities are looking for shells and shark teeth. My middle daughter found a megalodon shark tooth the size of her thumb! We have 4 dogs and 4 cats and enjoy walking on the beach with our dogs and playing in the ocean.
We love sharing our home with families so they can also experience and share in the love we have for the area. We hope that when you are here you have the best time and make wonderful memories!!
Why they chose this property
The area is pristine. It is a very family friendly area with great access to everything. It is only 45 minutes to Wilmington and 30 minutes to Jacksonville. The beaches are beautiful and very well cared for. North Topsail offers everything you could wish for.
What makes this property unique
We are only steps away from the most beautiful beach in North Carolina. Our home has a fenced back yard, tons of open deck space with views of the amazing sound and ocean. Our home can sleep up to 12 people and animals are welcomed.
