Enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of Selkirk Island in this family friendly waterfront Colorado River house for up to 6 guests. Let your troubles slip away as you take in daily unbeatable sunsets from the balconies and upper pier deck. Coffee from the balcony and afternoon drinks under the palapa are the perfect ways to start and end your day while watching boats… and the occasional barge… parade by. You can enjoy night fishing under the lights and summertime crabbing from the pier just steps from the back door. The Colorado River is the perfect spot for summertime boating and water sports, and the community boat ramp is just down the street. Guests can utilize the pier ladder to enjoy swimming with lifejackets in the river. Those who are not into water sports can lounge under the palapa while enjoying watching everyone else splash and cruise by. A full kitchen and multiple outdoor BBQ pits offer a range of cooking opportunities. This property offers an abundance of room for outdoor gaming including a plenty of grassy areas and concrete driveway space. This gorgeous home is elevated allowing for perfect views of the river with plenty of concrete area below, including a large screened in outdoor living space. The house includes a master bedroom with a king bed and en suite bathroom. Bedrooms two (king bed) and three (queen bed with twin and trundle) share a Jack and Jill bathroom with additional hallway access. The kitchen includes both a Keurig and traditional coffee pot along with a gas stove and oven, and a multitude of pots and pans. Selkirk Island is a quiet and secluded neighborhood making it great for taking walks or biking during your stay. Don’t miss out on the local seafood and be sure to spend some time in the historic town of Matagorda just 10 minutes away.
