Maridadi Clifftop Oceanfront - Beautiful Outdoor Terrace, Solar & Tesla Storage

Maridadi Clifftop is perched atop Boatman Point with sweeping, south-facing views located under a 10-minute drive (2 miles) from Cruz Bay. “Maridadi” means beautiful and charming in Swahili- a name we believe perfectly suits the simple elegance of our home. Upon parking in the parking area behind the Maridadi stonewall entrance column, walk to the entrance of the driveway, walk down the driveway to a gently sloping stone staircase surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, including banana, key lime, and starfruit trees, leads to an open and private terrace overlooking the Caribbean Ocean with an expansive vista of St Croix (40 miles away). The terrace has an outdoor kitchen, all necessary kitchen and dining wear, sink, propane barbecue, dining table & four chairs, a cantilevered aluminum umbrella, and two lounge chairs. The terrace provides a quiet, blissful area where waves roar a hundred feet below.

Upon entering the unit that makes up Maridadi Clifftop, double sliding glass doors give way to a modern, air-conditioned bedroom with a king-size Westin Heavenly Bed by Beauty Rest, smart TV, ceiling fan, his and hers night tables, and a walk-in closet. In addition, the room offers a quaint living area that is partitioned from the bedroom with a new comfortable sofa, table, and dresser- all located in front of a large window with an unobstructed view of the Caribbean Ocean. Two sizeable wooden mahogany sliding doors open to a spacious full bathroom with a glass door shower. Many of our guests often exclaim that waking up at Maridadi Clifftop feels like waking up on a boat due to the elevated, expansive ocean view and dramatic setting atop the crashing waves.

Maridadi Clifftop is located in the residential neighborhood of Boatman Point. Boatman Point is very quiet and has underground utilities, a private roadway, and a rocky beach at the end of Monte Road where you can snorkel and lounge that can be accessed via a staircase ¼ mile from Maridadi Clifftop. The neighborhood is extremely safe and is frequented by runners and walkers due to the road vistas and lack of vehicle traffic.

Important:
Maridadi Clifftop is NOT the right place for those looking to party and be loud. Instead, it provides a romantic, quiet, modern escape designed to interface with nature. It’s the perfect choice for couples looking to unwind and relax in luxury while enjoying St. John and all it offers. Maridadi Clifftop is the downstairs unit of a single-family residence where we live on premises on the top floor. Maridadi Clifftop's incredible privacy makes it unique, as it has a separate entrance and stairway. We are a family of three that is very quiet and relaxed! We moved to St. John over a decade ago to enjoy its nature, laid-back lifestyle, and incredible beauty. Maridadi Clifftop is the perfect launchpad to explore what “Love City” offers.

We had a wonderful stay! Ruby met us when we arrived and was so nice and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away.The view from the home overlooking the cliffs was absolutely beautiful and one of our favorite parts of the stay. Although the place is located within the home, it still felt very private and peaceful.The place is small, but very complete and thoughtfully designed. Everything we needed was there and it was clear that a lot of care went into making the space comfortable for guests.Overall, everything was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Ruby was a great host and we would definitely stay here again!

Spectacular place to stay!

The Maradadi Clifftop was a beautiful place. The ocean view is just spectacular! And the condo was super comfortable and so very tasteful. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating. We can't wait to go back!

Our stay at Maridadi Clifftop only enhanced our St John visit. Ruby and Fernando were delightful hosts who provided many thoughtful details such as chairs, cooler, island guides, and even cooking spices. Beautiful location.

This property is amazing. Perfect for my wife and I. The perfect place to come back to after a day at the beach with all of the necessary amenities. We loved sitting outside after sunset and watching the stars appear.

Beautiful cliff house!

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was perfect, the view is incredible, and many necessities were included. The hosts are so kind and accommodating as well. The location was ideal for adventuring to different beaches and going into town for dinner/errands. We would love to visit again soon!

Maridadi was wonderful!

The property was wonderful and the views are spectacular. All a short drive from Cruz Bay but in a very quiet location. The hosts, Ruby, Fernando and Noah, were also wonderful. Very helpful and responsive. We will definitely consider this property again on a future visit to St. John.

Loved my stay!

I loved my stay at Maridadi! It is so beautiful inside and outside. It looks just like the pictures :) The room is very clean, which is important to me. The view is gorgeous. The hosts are so kind and helpful. I'm thankful for all they have done to create a relaxing environment and provide what I need for the beach. Thanks so much for your kindness and for a wonderful stay! I would definitely love to stay here again :)

beautiful location

Maridadi Clifftop is a beautiful spot. The owners have wonderful attention to detail. We arrived to the island early and Winni greeted us with beach chairs, towels , a cooler, beach tote and everything was ready for a perfect beach day. Winni was so pleasant and so helpful with all of our questions. We ended up checking in early and we were so happy with the accommodations The room was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and had everything that you could think of for a perfect week on St. John. We would certainly stay again when visiting St.John. Beautiful set up!!

Staying for a family vacation!

Fernando was great! The only thing I would say is that the family lives above and not completely on it's own. It's on the same property. It is not attached to the house at all though, but it wasn't really specific on being on property with the family. However, they were great so it didn't bother us!

Amazing views

This cliff side home has amazing views of the Caribbean. Ruby and Fernando are gracious, respectful and helpful hosts. No detail is overlooked. The room is well supplied and organized. Communication was exceptional and super responsive to questions. The view and sounds of waves crashing into the shoreline was mesmerizing. Thank you for contributing to our memorable trip to St John. Beautiful Views!!!

Absolutely stunning home! The owners thought of everything that you could possibly need for a beach vacation. The photos are very accurate. This home is close to Cruz Bay and the beaches, yet far enough away to offer solitude. We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace, listening to the waves below, and utilizing the thoroughly stocked outdoor kitchen. I would rate this home more than 5 star if we could. Should our travels take us back to St. John, I would definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Ruby and family for sharing your lovely home.

Exceptional Stay

Maridadi Clifftop is amazing and a perfect stay for two. The photos do not do the space or the spectacular views justice. It is situated on a nice quiet street but is only an 8min drive to the action of Cruz Bay. The hosts have an unparalleled attention to detail for the guests (cooler, beach chairs, outside speaker and light, fully stocked kitchen with utensils and spices, etc). You can cook an entire dinner which is nice on vacation because eating out for every meal can become tiring. We feel very grateful we picked their home for our trip and would not consider any other homes when returning to St. John. Thanks for a great trip!

Beautiful Little Hideaway with Amazing Hosts

Maridadi Clifftop was a beautiful, cozy place to stay on St. John. My wife and I spent a week here — the place was private, clean, and a pleasure to return to each day. The view is stunning, and the access into your own private little backyard area is wonderful. Most importantly, the hosts were phenomenal. They went above and beyond their responsibility to ensure our trip was as good as could be. They dealt with many curveballs, from cancelled flights and rental cars to our own illnesses that popped out of nowhere, and every step of the way they continued to ask what else they could do for us. We will always remember their kindness and hospitality.

Restful retreat. Perfection

My husband and I stayed for three nights and had wished we would have booked it for our whole trip. The hospitality is like nothing else we have experienced with any other VROB. Being greeted upon arrival, was a wonderful touch, especially after being delayed by 4 hours due to flight issues and arriving after dark. Thank you Emily! You gave us great suggestions on beaches, and restaurants, you were prompt in responding to questions we had, and the personal card was an exceptional touch. The accommodations were perfect, the bed was very comfortable, they provided everything we could ask for and then some. The snorkeling gear, beach chairs, beach towels and cooler were so nice to have at our disposal and saved us money from having to rent. We are planning to come back to St John and hope that we are able to stay here again

Perfect for Two

Our past trips to the VI involved family and friends and the need for larger accommodations. Wanting to stay on St John this trip and looking for a quiet trip for my wife and me, we found Maridadi to be just what we were looking for. Ruby and Fernando were wonderful hosts, full of knowledge about the beaches, restaurants and everything St John has to offer. The apartment was brand new, very clean and decorated beautifully. Ruby thought of everything, including sun tan cream, cooler, umbrella and even extra snorkeling gear. The location is just far enough away from the activity of Cruz Bay to really relax when at the apartment and enjoy the views. The neighborhood was quiet which made it easy for us to take long runs and hikes without worrying about traffic. We look forward to another visit and will definitely book again on our next trip back.

Amazing property

Stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The property is exactly as pictured/described. Ruby and Fernando could not been more amazing hosts. They greated us upon arrival and had great suggestions for restaurants and activities. The room was beautifully decorated and Ruby has thought of every detail to make the stay that much better. The room had beach towels, snorkels, fins, chairs and a cooler for all our beach adventures. There is also a fridge and coffee maker, with all the tea and coffee fixins in the room. The outdoor kitchen is small but very well equiped and even has a stockpile of spices. While we didn't experience a power outage during our stay, knowing that the property had a Testa battery in the event of one was a fantastic bonus and provided peace of mind. This really was one of best vacation rental experiences. Don't think twice about booking this property!

Our short vacation with Ruby Fernando was spectacular. Marididi was such a beautiful little villa - perfect for our anniversary trip. The decor, textiles, furnishings and extras are everything you’d expect for a villa at this price point. We happened to visit when the entire two islands were without power. You would have never known it at the villa. Powerful Tesla batteries and solar kept the lights on and the ac cool. The view was amazing - the Frontgate outdoor furnishings made it so wonderful to sit and enjoy coffee in the mornings. The location was perfect. Groceries and restaurants are very near by. You definitely need a jeep though but parking here was very easy. Our hosts greeted us warmly and every text was answered quickly. They were adorable. Don’t hesitate, just book!

Maridadi was a great experience. One of the best views on the island and you have it all to yourself. The host was amazing and gave us recommendations to great restaurants and tips before our trip. The unit had everything we needed, we loved the coffee bar and cooked breakfast often during our trip. After a week of being on island and seeing others accommodations, we were extremely happy with our decision to stay at Maridadi.
