Summer Place II at Pine Point is newly built 5 bedrooms 3.5 baths that sleeps 12 very comfortably. 1st floor has a large open room with all walls and ceiling finished with nautical shiplap wood, a beautiful gas fireplace, open to a screen porch, all overlooking the water..... Tastfully decorated thru out with two master bedroom suite, one with a open deck, great for morning coffee or sunbathing, and en suite bath with whirlpool tub, the other master with an en suite bath that has body jets in the walk in shower. Both have tremendous water, marsh, boats, and sunset views....Central air thru out, 5 T.V., quality beds and linens, large yard with wood burning fire pit surrounded with adirondack chairs, gas grills and tables overlooking the water... Just two blocks to a great sandy 7 mile beach, walk to several restaurants and lobster pound.....Pickleball courts near by, ask me for a net..Easy access into Portland (12 miles) or catch the trolley to Old Orchard and the Pier....... Pine Point

Location was excellent. Beach and many great restaurants located within walking distance. Salt marsh views were beautiful. Property needs some minor maintenance, however communication with host was prompt. Many amenities included with this property.

Pine Point Beach House Rocks !

The house and location are perfect! I had my family here for my son's wedding . There was plenty to do with beach's and restaurant's close by that you can walk to. The house was spacious and clean. The views are spectacular from the back yard and deck. We will be back next summer for sure. I highly recommend this property

Winter holiday

Winter wonderland at the beach. Absolutely stunning view and got to walk on the beach every day with our dogs. The host was very communicative. A lot open nearby enjoyed fresh seafood in cold walks and beautiful sunsets.The house is wonderful. The kitchen is small if you’re big into cooking. Burning the summer, you’re at the beach all the time. It was fine for us. I will say if you have any guests with mobility problems this might not be the best since it is all stairs. It was fine for us. Just an FYI. Other than that fantastic.

2nd year here!

We are very pleased with this property. Everything is great with a slight exception of the small kitchen, no vegetable peeler and confusing plug in burners- induction pans only work on the burners and there are too many pans that won't heat up. We hope to be back because those negatives are slight!

It was surprising that this house did not have a real stove and the microwave was hidden in a closet!? The house does NOT have a hot tub as stated in the writeup, and the property has a trashy backyard. The bedrooms however are very nice

Great stay!

Had an excellent stay! The house is absolutely perfect for large families! We were 8 adults and 5 kids under 5 and we had an amazing time. My only recommendations if you have small kids is to bring garbage bags that cover the windows, since there were no black out curtains. This is really just a mom tip I've gotten used to for travelling with my kids. Screened in porch is amazing to have, we spent a lot of time out there. The house is very spacious. We will be coming back next summer!

Could use a more personal touch.

The location of this property is great. Easy access to the beach and highway to Portland. Drew answered my emails leading up to our trip quickly. The door code was sent to me the day before our check in as promised. We were not contacted at all during our stay just to check in with us to see if there was anything needed.That said, the personal side of the rental needs work. The outside grills were a mess. We didn't use them. The firepit had several mismatched chairs that needed to be cleaned along with the picnic table. There is no firewood provided. There is a lot of junk laying around the property and under the screen house. Inside was overall good and as described in the rental description. There were a couple of missing light bulbs in key areas. We found extras in the laundry area. The smoke detector is missing in the third floor bedroom. For a rental that sleeps 12, there aren't many towels available. I've stayed at places before where a welcome basket was provided, directions how to use ammenties within the house like a TV with four remotes :), provide maps/restaurants/grocery stores - recommendations/ideas for the local area. After all, we are unfamiliar with the area. Like I said, the necessary items were provided but a more personal welcoming touch would be super and put this place over the top.

STUNNING IMMACULATE HOUSE, WALK TO BEACH

We just spent a wonderful week in the unit behind this Homeaway house. From the pictures on Homeaway, we were a bit apprehensive because the unit did not show up when we did our research on the maps. Drew the owner was very reassuring and explained the unit had just been built. When we arrived, Drew was there to greet us and showed us around. As we stepped in the back unit, WOW!!! Exquisite design! You could tell THIS house was professionally decorated as a Maine beach house. Modern and yet comfortable but with all the details that only a designer would think of. Everything is new here. Almost too luxurious for a rental. There are three floors. The top floor has three bedrooms beautifully decorated. The master has a king bed with stunning views to the marshes on both sides and a private bathroom with a large walk in shower. In the middle there is another large bedroom with a queen and private shower. The third room has a queen, no bathroom. On the second floor there was a queen bedroom with a shared bathroom and a private balcony terrasse to view the marshes. The other bedroom had 4 single beds (bunk beds) and the same shared bathroom. On this floor there is a brand new sauna (which we could tell had never been used), plus a washer and dryer. Everyone slept beautifully on firm mattresses and great sheets and loads of pillows. Lastly, the living room, dining room and kitchen with a large terrasse with one of 2 BBQ, (the larger one is on the back lot with picnic table and seats). Oh I forgot to mention TVs in every rooms except one, so we could all watch our own program if we wanted. The kitchen is well stocked. The meals were cooked quite quickly on top of induction heaters. There are two brand new ovens (conventional and microwave) and lots of brand new pots and pans. Overall, it is an ideal house in every way for a large group, we were 8 adults. It is spacious, 4 minutes walk to the beach, the house has a trolley and loads of beach chairs at your disposal as well as a large parasol. Fresh lobsters are around the corner at Bayley's and you can order them in the morning and pick them up for supper. They steam them for you just on time. Thank you Drew for sharing your beautiful house with us. We are recommending it to all of our friends . We will be back!

Getting past the smell of a dirty house the first night as more than enough ,no cook stove no batteries for anything ,smoke alarms going off all hours of the night,construction workers at 730 in the morning bar near by partying all night,I am sorry but I could go 9n and on ,the camera man made the shots look very deceiving, deck was on 2 not main floor ,and oh my goodness the BBQ you had available was disgusting, such a nice house but absolutely let go ,the amount of dirt and filth was uncalled for ,clean it with some disinfectant, downstair bathroom had actual poop in it left for us to clean,we are professional people who stayed in this house not snobs but people who were bamboozled, especially the cleanliness ,the grounds ,the disaster in the pantry ,we understand end of the season but for God sakes folks it was filthy ,maybe your cleaning lady needs to be replaced by someone who will take pride in your property, we have several pictures that probably should be reviewed, number 1 by the owners and number 2 by the fire inspector, so sad your beautiful home is being so neglected, you are definitely going to here more about this,we actually left cleaner than we received. Please contact us, I would love to send some pictures, respectfully, we definitely do not want a refund we just want you to make this the beautiful property it could be for the next guests.

Excellent location and space for our family of 10

Plenty of space for our group of 9 to sleep and live comfortably together and take time apart if needed. :) Location was excellent, less than 5 minute walk to the beach, and pubs and restaurants were even closer. And you can't beat the view of the sunset every night over the marsh!

Great Location, Lots of Steps!

Overall, we were happy with our stay. This property is great for large groups if you don’t mind a smaller kitchen with no stovetop (there is an induction burner but we weren’t clear on what pans could be used with this, we luckily brought a griddle with us to use instead). One detail we were disappointed in was the fact there was not a bedroom or full bathroom on the main floor. We had reached out to the host prior to booking, letting them know we were traveling with someone who had mobility issues and the main reason we booked this house was because we were under the impression from the host that there were accommodations on the main level for this individual. Unfortunately, they had to make their way to the second floor (16 steps) to find a bedroom and full bathroom. We also locked the house one day and came back to it unlocked, which was a bit unnerving. Some of the amenities seemed like they hadn’t been refreshed for the season yet (screen porch had tears, one of the grills was extremely dirty with left over food) but for the right group, this house would be wonderful. The bedrooms are spacious and having laundry on-site was a huge plus.

Old friends getaway

The house was very comfortable for the 7 of us. Andy was very helpful with the questions I sent him before and during our 2 night stay. Parking was very adequate for our 3 cars. We did the very short walk to the beach to watch surfers and just to enjoy the sunset. We walked to a small, nice bar 2 doors down from the house to have a cocktail Sat. afternoon. If the weather had been nicer we would have loved to sit outdoors there. The house is very clean and comfortable. It’s perfect for playing games at the dining room table or sitting in the living room to reminisce, read and visit. The kitchen is a bit tight for more than 1 or 2 people to work in and a little unorganized. We were very surprised that there was not a stovetop, only a 2 “burner” convection hot plate. It did work for us though, so it really wasn’t an issue. The lge microwave works well, but is a little tough to use if you’re on the short side because the door pulls down instead of to the side and it’s a little high up on top of the oven. The beds were super comfortable and each bedroom is beautifully furnished. If a future renter has any trouble doing stairs, access to the bedrooms, especially the 3 on the 3rd floor might be difficult. All in all….(aside from the rainy, windy weather) it was a wonderful weekend in a beautiful house.

Beautiful inside and out

Very clean, easy to get to, beautiful views. Could use an electric tea kettle as there is only an induction hot plate type burner. Also, we stayed in the winter and the driveway was not plowed at the road and lots of ice build up at the entry.
