About this property
Dog Friendly | Riverfront Home w/Hot Tub
Welcome to Two Rivers Retreat ! Some places just feel different the moment you arrive. Two Rivers Retreat is one of those places.
Nestled along the banks of the Middle Fork River in Big Sky, Montana, this 4-bedroom, three-story Western-style home is the kind of escape that makes you wonder why you ever go anywhere else. The sound of the river is the first thing you notice. Then the mountains. Then you stop thinking about anything else entirely.
Step through the mudroom, shake off your ski gear or hiking boots, and walk into the heart of the home. The large kitchen is where everything happens. A center island with bar seating for three, new stainless steel appliances, and a wood stove that fills the room with warmth and that particular kind of comfort that only wood heat can give. The formal dining area seats eight, which means big group dinners are not just possible, they are inevitable. The home also features a brand new well, freshly drilled this summer, so you can feel good about the water quality throughout your stay.
The main level living area opens out to the porch and a staircase that leads straight down to the river. Two bedrooms on this level share a generous bathroom. Head upstairs to the loft and you will find a king bed, a corner soaking tub, a standing shower, and two twin sleeper sofas for extra guests. There is also a dedicated workspace tucked in for anyone who needs to sneak in a few work hours without missing out on the trip.
The lower level has its own personality. A second living area, a wet bar, a cozy dining nook, a full bathroom, a laundry room, and a fourth bedroom. Step outside from here and you are at the private hot tub, tucked into the hillside with the sounds of the river below and the crisp mountain air all around you.
Out back, the large deck is made for long evenings. Soak in the hot tub while the river runs below. In summer, head down to the river access where a small fire pit and comfortable chairs create the kind of gathering spot that keeps everyone outside until well past dark.
And when you are ready to explore, Yellowstone National Park is just 20 minutes away. Hiking trails, wildlife, geysers, and some of the most extraordinary landscape on the planet are practically at your doorstep.
Two dogs are welcome. The river is calling. Come stay a while.
Winter Big Sky Resort is the biggest skiing in America, and it earns that title every single year. With 5,800 skiable acres, 4,350 feet of vertical drop, and an average of 400+ inches of snowfall annually, it delivers for every level of skier and rider. When you are ready to step off the slopes, the historic Lone Mountain Ranch has 85+ kilometers of groomed Nordic trails through the wilderness, voted the #1 cross-country ski resort in North America. Beyond that, Yellowstone National Park, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, and world-class spa experiences are all within easy reach.
Summer The mountains do not slow down when the snow melts. Within minutes you have world-class fly fishing, river rafting, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and zip-lining at your doorstep. Follow the scenic Gallatin River along historic Highway 191 and you are at the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in just 45 minutes. Stay long enough and you will find free concerts, farmers markets, and weekly events scattered throughout the season

This home was well stocked with everything we needed for my family's visit. The location was great and the layout of the home was perfect. We did have to contact the property manager while we were there, questions were answered but it seemed like they were put into a queue (a ticket issued). Responses were friendly and didn't take that long for someone to get back to us.

Your feedback is valuable, and we'll address these concerns to ensure future guests have a seamless experience. We hope to welcome you back soon! Best, Summer B. Guest Service Manager.
Great cabin with plenty of space for everyone, including a comfortable office space (good wifi) which was a great bonus. Kitchen is spacious and as well equipped as any we've stayed at in the past. A little close to the highway noise during commute times, but that was more than offset by the beautiful trees and great little river running behind the house. Also loved the firepit by the river and the hot tub on the lower deck.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Rob! We're glad the spacious cabin and comfortable office space met your needs, and that you enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen. It's great to hear the natural surroundings and amenities like the firepit and hot tub made a positive impact. We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again soon! Best, Jannen E
Pros: This house had a good set up and was comfortable for 7 adults. The location was great and close to town. The beds were very comfortable. Cons: The keypad on the front door was consistently difficult to operate. The circuit breaker was often tripped and we had to reset it several times per day to have power. The property manager scheduled a person to work on the furnace for 6 hours in the middle of our stay, with less than 24 hours notice, even though there were no guests for several weeks after us.

Thank you for the five-star review. I’m glad the house layout, location, and beds worked well for your group. I’m sorry about the trouble with the front door keypad, the recurring circuit breaker trips, and the short-notice furnace work during your stay. We shared your feedback with our maintenance team — they have checked the keypad and electrical panel — and we’re reviewing contractor scheduling and communication so future guests aren’t disrupted. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to host you again.
