Awful Experience - Beware!
We didn’t complete our stay at this property. The property advertises a fenced in backyard, but three of the corners are not enclosed. A front corner has a large gap and some sticks piled a foot high. The towels were horrible: thin, tiny, and only 3 sets of 1 towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth were provided - For 3 adults staying 2 weeks. 3 nights in, we came home to the power out in the house. It was the only house on the street without power and the meter read “off.” We tried for over an hour to get ahold of someone - one number provided on the listing and a second number sent in a host message. Customer service through VRBO tried both numbers several times as well, for over an hour, and we only got an answer once they sent a strong email. A random number texted and said they contacted the power company and there was some work going on in the area and the power would be back on soon. BUT like I said it was the ONLY house on the street without power and with the meter reading OFF = the power was turned off. This random person basically lied to us. The hosts said they would give us a full refund while we were on a 3 way call with a VRBO agent - a month later we are still dealing with this as they did not issue the refund on their end!!! We were left to find housing last minute, and at that point late at night with our dog. For the extra last minute accommodations we were out $3k over what we would’ve paid to stay at this place. Don’t stay with these hosts!
