Escondido Main House is our new 6-bedroom house that can sleep 12. You'll find a stunning pool, yoga deck, tropical gardens, a fully-equipped kitchen and a TV/Game Room.

Upstairs, you'll find a Game Room (the only one in the area!) equipped with a big screen TV, big comfy chairs with ottomans and a Poker table . There's also a second refrigerator to store snacks and keep your beverages cold while you relax upstairs. You also get beautiful views of the local mountain range and a bird's-eye view of the lush tropical gardens. Escondido is the perfect place for bird and butterfly watching.

You will enjoy seclusion with easy access to nearby beaches and restaurants. Unwind in this private oasis and make memories in paradise!

This is a brand new, two-story house with 6 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms.

The downstairs consists of a fully equipped indoor/outdoor kitchen and dining area that connects to the pool pathway and deck area as well as 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

There are 3 additional bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs with beautiful wood floors. The second floor also provides a stunning view of the mountains, wildlife and surrounding jungle.

The pool is perfect for days when you just want to relax in the cool comfort of your own private space. Escondido Retreat is your secluded sanctuary yet only a 5-minute drive to beaches and 10-minute drive to restaurants.

Great property

I loved this place. We had a great stay. A few things to note: all rooms face the outside. Like a motel. Kitchens/living rooms are outside too. Mosquitos everywhere. To be expected but best to prepare ahead of time. Pool was nice to have. It was hard to keep steps clean because they were outside but they were very clean when we got there. Glad they had someone on sight to check us in because the original location sent wasn’t accurate and he was able to send me location in wayze, which worked better. The road is rough, but the rooms were nice and air worked great. Garden was beautiful!

We fell in love with Puerto Viejo and Costa Rica's Caribbean coast in 2013.

What makes this property unique

The property is secluded and a bit hidden (hence the name Escondido Retreat) yet only minutes from beaches and restaurants. We renovated a 3br 2ba house and turned it into a gorgeous 6br 4ba vacation home with a stunning pool with jungle views. Lush, tropical gardens surround the entire property and bring an array of butterflies and birds. Howler monkeys, sloths and toucans frequent the property. One of the most unique features is the upstairs Game Room (very rare for this area!) with big screen TV, comfy chairs with ottomans and a Poker table,
