Unfortunate experience
My family and I decided to spend spring break in Atlanta exploring some museums, six flags, and the aquarium. Unfortunately, this was not a smooth check-in process. It began the day before we were supposed to check in, and I still had not received any information from the host on the checking in process. I reached out to the host with two separate emails, and called the contact number twice with no responses from either. I even reached out to VRBO, He did not get a response from the host as well. Then comes the day to check in, and I sent another email and several phone calls. We were supposed to check in at 4 PM, and I still had not heard from anyone. I contacted VRBO who could not get in touch with the host. Luckily, on my own, I continue to call the contact number, and finally someone did answer the phone. The host did finally provide me the information I needed to check in, 45 minutes after check in time. I’m really unsure if I had not been persistent and continue to call the five or six times in a row someone would have even answered, or reached out to me.
Upon receiving the information to check in, I did express my grievances in a polite way to the host. I did have six kids with me for spring break, and I felt like as if we were stranded in downtown Atlanta after driving the entire day to get to the rental property. Unfortunately, the host was very rude during our exchange. I never received an apology at the time of check in, nor has anyone reached out to me thereafter
