Welcome to 'Saw Creek Escape', a quiet forest home, nestled right between two creeks in lushly wooded settings, only minutes away from great hiking & amenities! Great WiFi.

This place suits the best professional creative singles, romantic couples, families with reflective kids, and small family & good friends get-togethers. While it can accommodate up to 10 it’s best for under 8 people.

Note: Groups under 25 and/or of more than 4 people who have no 5-star reviews yet require a $250 refundable deposit. It is fully refundable as long as you & your guests read and follow the house rules. 95% of our guests do. It’s returned after clearance by cleaning crew within 3 days after your departure. Hint: leave it neat, better than your home. Cleaning fee is for regular cleaning, sanitizing, laundry, etc. We don’t do any additional post-stay refunds for your stay other than the deposit.

If this matters, or for your age, health-related reasons, a larger body frame, please note that the stairs to the creek are on the steeper & narrower side, and the bed mattresses are on the softer & less elevated side. The kitchen size is not for a big cookout. Only one shower.

No Loud Parties. Civilized celebrations are ok. The neighborhood loves it’s peace and quiet. Please know this place is NOT a good place to get wasted or stunned.

The Property
The house is clean, airy and cozy. It's a Retro style mountain country vacation cabin, simple, perfectly imperfect, inviting, low-key, and a bit quirky/artsy with some Boho flavor. It's somewhat still living in good old sweet 1970-s. It has cathedral A-frame ceiling with open wooden beams, wood burning fireplace and a jacuzzi/whirlpool for two.

The house is 1500 sq ft, has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, loft with skylight. Perfect for stargazing and counting clouds! :) Master bedroom upstairs has a queen size bed, tall ceilings, Jacuzzi tub for two and the balcony that facing the creek! While houses are nearby it feels private.

Everything is set to help you to disconnect from the world, have a break, relax, to deeper connect with yourself and close ones, refocus, and recharge. Therefore no cable at the house, by design.

The Location
Situated in the great mountain private gated community it offers the best of both worlds. You are so close to great amenities and still feel being in nature and by the streaming water.

Being in the gated community offers you 24/7 Security and access to Outdoor & Indoor Pools, Hot Tubs, Fitness Center, Weight Room, Restaurant with the Scenic View, Indoor & Outdoor Tennis, Basketball and Racquetball Courts, Lakes, Boats, Playground, Hiking Trail, our own Ski Hill, Ski Shop & Ski Lift, weather permits! Here you are within 4-7 minutes drive to it. You are welcome to enjoy it! You can actually walk to it. That is if you are up to walking up the hill. :)

The first floor has two bedrooms with double beds, 3 air mattresses, full bath, well-equipped kitchen and a dishwashing machine. The living room has a leather sofa sleeper double size bed with a loveseat, wood burning fireplace, and deck off dining area with the view of the Saw Creek stream.

There is a gas grill, two fire pits, the deck with a table, chairs & umbrella, water deck with seating and sunbathing benches, & two benches along the creek by the water. The creek in the backyard is the Saw Creek. There second miniature one is in the front yard. Do you like to hear tree frogs singing? They may sing for you here.


The Area
This location has a lot to offer at any time and in any season. You are in the Delaware State Forest! Plenty of amazing hiking trails in all seasons. Multiple beautiful falls are nearby! In the spring, summer, fall, and winter it's an amazing place to rejuvenate while observing rapid nature changes.

Things you may enjoy here off premises: Excellent Scenic Trails Hiking and Biking, Visiting State Parks, Shawnee Mountain Activities,Water Rafting, Kayaking, River Beaches and Lake Boating, Fishing, Hunting, Horseback Riding, ATV-riding and trying Off-Road experiences, Zip-lining and Experiencing the Aerial Rope Course, Exploring Waterfalls and Caverns, Flea Market, Antique Shops, Crossings Outlets and Local Shopping. If you'd like to do yoga by the water or in the house we have a few yoga mats for you to use.

Up for a quick guilty treat? Would 24 flavors of soft served ice cream at the nearby small convenience shop do it?

In the snow season, you can try our own ski hill with a ski lift (4 min. from the house) or the Shawnee Mountain (16-18 min. drive). Or Camelback (39 minutes).


The Mood
If you have a romantic side, come to stay at our cabin and enjoy being surrounded by nature, the calming sounds and views of the rolling water, the birds, crickets, far away wind chimes, occasional forest rain, and frogs. Unwind in the bubbling Jacuzzi. At night gaze at the amazing here stars in these deep clear mountain skies. Watch the various wildlife when it decides to visit. Curious deer, funny turkeys, various birds and living beings are passing by at times. We have seen all sorts of wildlife here, even bears and a black mink. They are locals here and they don't bother human locals. Just don't bother them!

It's a perfect place for you if you are feeling tired, for healing yourself, for meditation and yoga.

If you need to pause, unlink and detach from the world, to recharge, to step back in time where it moves slower and there is plenty of it to take good care for yourself, or to JUST BE, this is exactly for you. It's a right choice for a long vacation or a weekend trip, to reconnect with self and nature, or for the time together with your special ones. You will feel right at home here.

Please be respectful to the house and neat. House is clean and maintained on the weekly base by our great cleaning and maintenance service personnel. If you need anything please let us know, the cleaning & maintenance people are generally around, if needed.

The Gated Community
The Saw Creek Estates is a tranquil, private, 24 hr. well-guarded gated community. It is located in the Delaware State Forest, right at the bank of Delaware River, near Bushkill Falls State Park and Smithfield Beach National Recreation Area. It's close to Shawnee Mountain (25 min.) and Camelback Mountain Resorts (40 min.) and about only 80 miles west of NYC (2 hrs.). It's very easy to reach from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Newark airport (1:40 hrs.)


FAQ:
Q.: Cable TV?
A.: No cable TV, It has HDMI for your own streaming device. We have 55 DVDs at the house, you can rent locally as well.

Q.: Do we need to bring linens & towels?
A.: Linens are provided. You also may bring your own extras if you'd like. Please bring your own bath and pool towels. If you can’t bring, just ask and we will provide. :)

Q.: Is there a dining room?
A.: The everyday dining area consists of the kitchen bar and the coffee table. While there is no formal dining room with a dining table, we have two folding tables 6 & 4 feet long. We also have an outdoor dining table.

Q.: Do we need to bring own pots and pans?
A.: No need to bring your own pots, pans, china, and cutlery. Those are provided. Just please leave it clean and dry for the next guests.

Q.: Can we fish in the creek?
A.: Yes. Though you'll get more fish in the designated fishing areas.

Q.: Are there bugs?
A.: You are in the woods. There are bugs in the woods. :) Naturally. We go an extra mile to keep the house and surroundings very clean and well taken care of. We have citronella candles and even a bug spray. You still may meet an occasional spider, ant, mosquito, caterpillar, butterfly, etc. :)

Q.: How far are the other houses?
A.: Two houses are nearby, 75 & 100 feet away, though it’s still feels private. On 1.6 woody acres.

Q: What time are check-in and check-out, can we extend our stay?
A.: The check-in is after 4:00 pm, the check-out is at 11:00 am. Earlier check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge and are usually not available.

Q: How many cars can we bring?
A: The driveway fits 6 cars.
