Property listing very accurate, nice and serene quiet lake side property. Very accommodating with rooms, kitchen utensils, canoe, fire pit and basic cleaning supplies. We are definitely interested in coming back!
The cabin was rustic but clean and lovely. We had a relaxing and rejuvenating time here. The property’s beauty is remarkable. We also enjoyed nearby treasures like Delaware Water Gap National Park, Raymondskill Falls and the little town of Milford (think Mayberry RFD). Milford had several quaint stores and restaurants, as well as Grey Towers Castle - open for tours. I highly recommend this place!!
Pet friendly, needs a little TLC but overall great place. We would stay again!

Hi Rebecca: Thanks so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed yourselves. It sounds like you had a great time. I just finished a $75,000 renovation to the house. I am sure you saw and enjoyed the new floors, kitchen, bathrooms, beds, etc. But vacation properties are always a work in progress and I am glad the progress I have had so far, played such a nice role in your 30 hour visit. You were a satisfactory guest and next time you will have to stay long enough to really see what the house is like and what the area has to offer. Have a great summer. Patrick
The cabin was easy to find and very clean, right on the lake. There is a beach right down the road. Some things were inaccurate about the listing (no single hideaway bed) and although there was a canoe available for use it had a hole in it.

Hi Tess:
Great to have you. And I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
My listing does not indicate a "hideaway bed". I am not sure why you thought there was one there. So, my apologies for any confusion. I could have cleared that up for you with a text or email.
I also had the canoe out on the lake this morning and didn't see a hole or experience one. I was fishing in it for over an hour.
Hope you come back soon.
Patrick
The property was as described, a great get away spot from the commotion of city life. It did rain while I was there so we weren’t able to use the fire pit outside however everything else was peaceful and easily accessible. The host was very communicative in preparation for the stay and very helpful. I maybe would have liked having more firewood on site for the indoor fire place but it is spring so maybe that’s a colder weather thing the host focuses on. Overall a beautiful peaceful place with lots to do around you and a great host. 10/10 would book again and you should too!

Hi D:
Thank you so much for the very nice review. I loved having you and glad to hear you made the best of a wet weekend, but we both agree. It's a great place to relax and curl up with a good book.
Sorry about the misunderstanding on the firewood. As was listed in the guest materials and emails I sent you, I do not provide firewood. Firewood is provided by the guest.
I hope you come back real soon. I would love to have you.

We had a fantastic weekend. Great location. Quiet and right on a lake. The fire pit was great. We had fun trying to fish right off the dock in the back yard. We saw a lot of deer on and around the property. It’s a quick drive to Bushkill falls and there are several spots close by to access parts of the Delaware Water Gap. The house has a lot of updated features and a well-equipped kitchen. Having linens and towels supplied really cut down on packing as well. We made use of the indoor community pool which the kids enjoyed as they await summer. There were a few minor things that the owner made sure were addressed quickly and was very easy to communicate with whenever we had a question. In all, a very nice weekend at a very nice property. Could definitely see the appeal during any season.
Great communication with the owner. Easy check in and the house was clean. We were very relaxed in the quiet lakeside chalet. We had the perfect Fall weekend. We will return again next year.
Amazing fall getaway. The property was beautiful and the fire amazing at night. Exactly what I needed to get away from the city. Thanks for reminding me how incredible nature is. Will be back soon.
House is exactly like it is described in the listing and very clean. We stayed with 2 adults and 6 kids. The space fit us perfectly. The beach area is only a short walk from the house and that was nice. Host is easy to got in contact with. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely stay again.
Comfortable and clean house with an awesome lake view. We spent a lot of time on the dock and enjoyed the numerous deer that walked through the property.
We arrived during the heat wave and walked into the property which felt like an oven-the air conditioning was not turned on for our arrival. It was 90 degrees inside. It took 5 hours to get the place cooled off. I contacted the owner to let him know and he didn't respond back to me even though I know he read my text message. The outer deck area is dangerous with a couple inch gap between the wooden planks and metal covering that was TAPED onto the wood. Not safe and I certainly wouldn't bring young children here. The lower dock area at the lake is also in need of repair and uneven causing a tripping hazard. Another renter previously commented that the place needs TLC, I agree to say the least. As other reviewers noted the mattress particularly in the back bedroom on the kitchen side is very worn down and uncomfortable. We also lost power during the thunderstorm which was only for a short time, but in other reviews, it does sound like this happened recently. I do understand that acts of nature are beyond our control, however as suggested by a previous renter, a generator would be very helpful considering that the plumbing is also run by electric meaning not only no lights but no water or toilets. I reached out to the host to let him know and ask if he heard anything from the power company and he replied "So far, no".We were very disappointed with the conditions.

Hi Sue:
Thanks for your review and for staying at my property for three nights.
I work with my guests during their stays and I have to say I have very enjoyable experiences with just about all of them. Then, I have my challenges.
You arrived on a very hot day and the AC was on prior to your arrival. It just required that you set the units to the temperature you wished. The house uses mini split cooling which means the units are located in sections of the house and cool the house within minutes. To indicate it took "5 hours" is simply misleading. You implied to me that I should have anticipated the temperature you wanted prior to your arrival, which is very difficult for any host to know much less fulfill.
I know you were aggravated by many things during your stay. Much of which I had little control over such as the weather, the loss of power, etc. I agree that installing a generator at the house would be helpful, however, most generators use natural gas to power the generator. The house is in the mountains. There are no natural gas lines in the area that make having a generator possible. As you experienced, all of my neighbors who live in the area year round, do not have generators.
Additionally, the power at the house was out for such a short period that it would have been an understood or even acceptable inconvenience to my less sensitive guests. It is summer and thunderstorms happen no matter how much I wish they didn't.
Thank you again. All my best.
