About this property

Baker Lodge - Ozarks Cabin - Lower Buffalo River - Sleeps 5

BAKER LODGE CABIN

We are The Ridge at Buffalo Point. We offer 6 cabins on our 4.5 acres property, and we can work with you to find the best accommodation to fit your needs. Each cabin is different, and we can accommodate solo travelers, couples, families and large gatherings like family reunions or church groups.

Baker Lodge is the ideal cabin for couples and families up to five. Small in square footage but big in function, the layout of Baker Lodge provides privacy – with an upstairs master suite (not a loft overlooking the living room), allowing you to escape from activity downstairs into a peaceful retreat upstairs – with a queen bed, a twin bed and half bath.

Downstairs, family members can enjoy the living room with RokuTV (stream your services), a computer desk (if work is calling – though we encourage you to take a break!), and a bistro table while breakfast is made in the full kitchen. Others can relax in the private nook – it has its own barn door and bunks with a view to the east into the forest. The back screened porch is a favorite spot for working puzzles, enjoying coffee in the rocker while watching the sun rise through the trees or enjoying a dinner with the propane grill and 6 person dining table.

Space to roam and explore the history and nature of the property

Baker Lodge cabin is at the front of the property and was built upon the foundation of the historic Lynch waterside, an in ground cement waterslide that is now out of use but created many great memories (and battle scars) with local kids through the years. You can see the remnants of the now inoperable cement slide peaking through the forest as you explore the property.

THINGS TO DO:

The Ridge is located in the heart of the Buffalo Point recreational area of the Buffalo National River. Opportunity awaits the outdoor explorer:

FLOAT THE RIVER: We are ¼ a mile from Wild Bill’s and Dirst outfitters – and less than 3 miles to Dillards Ferry put in (a popular float is Dillards Ferry to Rush Historic Mining Town). There are many float options – check with the outfitters for recommendations and book your float!

SWIMMING: We are 3 miles to Buffalo Point Campground beach area - It’s a great swimming spot, especially for the kids.

HIKING: Buffalo National River Forest has more than 100 miles of trails to explore including one of the most popular hikes – INDIAN ROCKHOUSE. Follow our road to the end and find the trailhead! You're within an hour and a half of so many hikes including some of our favorites in Arkansas like the Centerpoint Trail to Hemmed-in-Hollow or Big Bluff.

FISHING: You can enjoy fishing the Buffalo or try your luck at the many creeks and rivers in the area including – Crooked Creek and the White River

ABOUT US:

We are Don, Ally, Lucas and Logan. Don’s the builder and designer – with the vision and skills to create inviting and relaxing spaces. Ally is right by his side to help make those dreams a reality … and help guests find their perfect cabin. Lucas and Logan (“the boys”) spent many years climbing trees, hopping boulders and just being boys. Those adventures have probably inspired some of the design here at The Ridge. Now that they’re men, they help with improvements to the property. It’s a family affair.

Our goal when we opened The Ridge was to help people disconnect from their regular routine and reconnect to the outdoors and to each other – family and friends. We continue to focus on ways to help people break away, get in touch with nature and even relive a little childhood. We look forward to welcoming you!
