We had a wonderful stay at this property for family weekend at UMKC. The property fit our family perfectly and was in a nice area of town. The host provided many extras that made for a pleasant stay which included comfortable beds, amazing patio furniture for morning coffee and great tvs for evening wind down. We will definitely stay here again.
Not the best area of town. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Since owner lives below would nit recommend taking small children. We were worried the entire time about noise from the 4 year old being a 4 year old.
We had a great stay in this lovely flat. It felt very cozy, everything is new and the beds are extremely comfortable.
The location worked really well for us as we visited family nearby. Brookside is a great neighbourhood with amazing restaurants and all very walkable. We would happily stay here again.
This is a great, cozy spot—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It’s perfect for a girls’ retreat weekend or a visit to town for a game. The upstairs unit is in a charming, older home that has been well cared for, with clear instructions provided for taking care of the space. Please note that the unit is accessible only by stairs, and since there are residents below, it’s important to be mindful of noise. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children or babies, as the stairs could be a concern and little feet can carry a lot of sound. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. Our favorite part of the home was definitely the front porch—we spent each morning chatting over coffee and every evening unwinding with a glass of wine. The location is also a plus: within a mile of some great local restaurants, and with a Family Dollar conveniently right across the street. It’s close enough to feel connected to the city, and UMKC is just about 1.5 miles away.Overall, a lovely stay in a warm and welcoming space!
Very impressed with the house and the location. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. The home was clean and well arranged. Outside security cameras helped making you feel safe in the house. Overall, I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful place to stay in the Kansas City, Mo area.
The property was clean and well maintained. The apartment had plenty of room and fully equipped kitchen. After never being in Kansa City before, we were unaware of where this property was, it’s in a really terrible inner city neighborhood. I was constantly worried about our car, and our own personal safety. I feel this is very important information people need to know prior to booking. The heightened security concerns are even demonstrated by the owner of property since they truly emphasize multiple security (door locks) protocols during your stay. This property would not be good for a family with young children because of its location.
