Butler Cottage 1 is a nod to vacationing in Door County in the 1950’s but with modern conveniences. The cottage has been lovingly restored but features many pieces of furniture that have been in the home for decades. The current owners purchased the home that had been owned by generations of the Butler family. The home features all new flooring, paint, bathroom with shower and new washer and dryer. The home can sleep 7. It can also be rented with Butler Cottage 2 which sleeps an additional 6. The property includes expansive yard space for games and relaxation along with a fire pit for evenings around a fire. Additional photos of exterior to be added.

We enjoyed our stay. Pros: It was within walking distance of everything. The outdoor bonfire area was nice. Host was available & responsive if needed. Cons: We could hear traffic throughout the night. Mattress were not to our comfort preference.

Lovely cottage in a great location in Jacksonport. Right next to the park and public beach. We loved the 1950s decor with the modern amenities. Comfortable and clean. My only recommendation would be to flip the doors on both the washer, dryer and the refrigerator to make them all easier to get in and out of. Otherwise the place is perfect.

Communication was great, place was clean, there were plenty of dishes and utensils. Only bad was the slanted floor which made walking unsteady and the kitchen floor was slippery. Refrigerator was barely working but owner allowed us to use refrigerator in other rental. Very accommodating.
