Welcome to the Caddis Shack – Your Ultimate Retreat on Toccoa River!
Property Highlights:
Quaint Cottage Blend Cabin: Experience the rustic ambiance of a classic cottage cabin, perfectly blended with modern amenities. The Caddis Shack boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.
Kitchen: Enjoy all brand new utensils, kitchenware, cookware to prepare your favorite meals. Microwave, induction cooktop, and refrigerator included. **Please Note** there is no dishwasher or oven in our cabin, but have found the cooktop, new gas Weber grill, grilling fire pit down by the river are really all you need. Treating yourself to one of the many restaurants, breweries and wineries close by is also a must!
Large Living Room and Scenic Views: The spacious living room is ideal for unwinding after a day of fishing adventures. Throw open the French doors and step onto the expansive screened-in porch to take in breathtaking views of the Toccoa River.
Large Deck: Sit on the deck and grill out or entertain your group on the Caddis Shack's large wrap around deck.
Fire Pit and River Deck: Enjoy the river up close on the river deck or build a fire in our spacious fire pit. There is also an opportunity to grill on the firepit as well. The choice is yours!
Wade Fishing: The Caddis Shack is located along one of the premier stretches of the Toccoa for wade fishing! Guests will have full access the river directly from the river lot with an extensive sections of shoals that are easily waded. Also ask us about our guided wade trips as well should you wish to have one of our expert guides show you the ropes!
Guided Fly Fishing: For those looking for a guided fly fishing drift boat/float trip or fly fishing instruction we offer a variety of options for anglers of all abilities. Inquire today to discuss options for your group!

McCaysville, GA (3.6 miles)
Two rivers, two bridges, two towns and two states – the Copper Basin is "Too great for one state." As the destination for both the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and the Tennessee Valley Railroad, the twin towns of McCaysville, Georgia, and Copperhill, Tennessee, are experiencing a revival -- with new shops, restaurants, parks and streetscapes. The Riverwalk Shops and new Chamber Visitor Center on the Toccoa River in McCaysville are two new "must do's" during your visit to the Basin. The Riverwalk has three restaurants on the river and 11 shops in a revitalized complex of buildings "Ponce Market" style.
McCaysville is home to Rolling Thunder River Company, which offers whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River – a short 10-minute bus ride away. Rolling Thunder and Toccoa River Tubing Company offer tubing and kayaking on the Toccoa River. Horseshoe Bend Park is also located in McCaysville and is well known for it's Pickin' in the Park on Thursday evenings, May through September.
