About this property

Katahdin Cabin, tranquil n rustic with inside hot tub, close to town! Romantic!

This spacious 2-bedroom 2 bath retreat will be sure to relax you the minute you walk in the door.
With many outdoor spaces to hang out, firepit & indoor hot tub you may never want to leave!
There is a screened in porch where you can lounge or grill your dinner and just outside that is an outdoor porch for amazing bird watching! There is also a lower deck with a porch swing that makes you feel like you are one with the Forest.

This is the perfect space for a romantic get a way, family trip our invite another couple!
There are two large king size bedrooms one with ensuite.
If you want more of a family trip an air mattress is provided for the extra little ones you might bring along.
Please let us know if you will be needing the air mattress or bringing more than 4 people.
There are even some games to keep you busy.

The property is yours to roam. You could pick a different area to lounge every day, there are plenty to choose from. Screen porch, hot tub, firepit or one of the amazing walking trails just outside the door.

Dogs are allowed for a $75 fee each dog. Please announce at time of booking.
Absolutely no uninvited guests or pets without prior notice.
If these rules are broken, you will be asked to leave.

There are so many wonderful, easy walking trails through the Last Resort neighborhood. There is a map of the trails listed under pictures or there is a map in the cabin with the welcome card.
All wheel drive car is best, but a 2-wheel drive is ok too. Depending on the season, sometimes the roads can get a bit bumpy or some washing out. For the most part they stay in pretty good shape.

We visited for our 5th anniversary & loved our stay! The cabin is very spacious & secluded, & the beds were comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with. Not too far from town. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time on our girls trip!!! The cabin was so comfy and cozy and felt like home! The cabin had everything we needed to relax! It was secluded just enough to enjoy nature but a simple and bumpy ride into downtown Blue Ridge! While in Blue Ridge we took the train ride which was wonderful. Our dog had the best time too discovering all the nature around him and being able to cozy up by the fire on his bed afterwards!

Clean on the inside but pretty unkept outside. Being able to open some windows would have helped pull in some clean, fresh air into the cabin. Overall, not bad but also not spectacular.

What a great location for a relaxing stay in nature. The cabin was very clean and felt homey. The view is incredible and the cabin very near so much to do. Definitely visit the town of Blue Ridge. I recommend taking some time to enjoy the hot tub and sitting on the screened in porch to let yourself experience the nature that surrounds this home. The hosts have a beautiful home in a majestic setting that dares you not to relax and connect with nature. We only had one minor issue with lighting the fireplace. We messaged Lance and he responded immediately (less than 5 minutes). Any place can have an unexpected issue pop up but how the host responds can make all the difference. 10/10 for our hosts.Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Bery nice cabin, gravel roads need some fill in several areas. Lots of wildlife and restful serenity. Super Host, very responsive.

Nice cabin. We did enjoy our stay. We did have an issue where our dog found a mouse stick strip. Of course we did not realize it was under the bed—paw got stuck on it which we were able to remove. The really bad thing was that there was a dead mouse on the stick strip. We did remove and place in garbage—but that was a bad vibe from the start of our visit. Thank you for allowing us to use your cabin.

This property is as described. The last part of the road to get to the cabin is one lane. We didn’t sit on the swing due to a huge spider web. We could not use the hot tub due to being overwhelmed by the fumes. We tired 3 times to air it out but it did not work. The chemicals were so overwhelming we were coughing and choking. We had to go outside to breathe. Inside was nice and cozy but not as clean as I expected.

We canceled due to air conditioner and hot tub not working

Arrived at beautiful cabin A/C and hot tub not working. Would not be repaired for 3 days (due to holiday weekend), thus received refund. Had to stay in a hotel for the rest of the week, not happy 😒.
