Guest Access:
Guests can access the entire cabin as well as our playground and communal spaces on the resort property. There is a new community firepit and cornhole game in front of the Grand Lodge.
The Lobby, located at the front of the property by Fall River Road, offers a paid guest laundry room, pamphlets for local attractions, and a coffee bar. You can access the door with your cabin code.
The Neighborhood:
Fall River Road has access to Rocky Mountain National Park's north entrance and is lined on each side of the street with cabins and resorts. Even so, this area is in the remote Rocky Mountains and feels very secluded. We often have wild animals such as deer and elk on our property.

The easiest way to get around is by car. You do not need four wheel drive to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The city of Estes Park runs a shuttle service in the summer months and there is a stop within walking distance to the cabins.
The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!
Other Things to Note:
We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.
Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm so glad to hear you had a great stay and felt well taken care of without feeling overwhelmed. It's wonderful that the kitchen and bathroom met your needs, and that you were comfortable during your stay. We’d be delighted to host you again in the future!
My husband and I loved our stay at Amberwood Cabins, great location right in Estes and very cozy. The cabin has been updated thoughtfully. The bathroom especially is gorgeous & very functional with great water pressure. We cooked several meals in the kitchenette & can say it is very well stocked with the basics and cookware! The fireplace added the perfect ambiance. We were very cozy here with our pup over the new year & the staff is very helpful & communicative, they leave a guide with anything you will need to know to be comfortable in the space. Would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It’s great to hear the fireplace added to the ambiance and that your pup felt at home too! I truly appreciate the recommendation and would love to host you again. 😊
The property is in a quiet, scenic area not far from the town of Estes. Inside had all the amenities we needed and the bed was comfortable as well. The hot tub and grill are a great bonus and well worth the money spent.
Cabin was wonderful, everything you could ask for and more. Communicating with the host went well and replies were almost immediate. The hot tub was clean and very inviting after a long day of hiking and exploring. I give this cabin a A++rating.
Love the updates including the big tiled shower and fans in every room! Extraordinarily clean with all the supplies we could have needed. Hot tub was nice and clean too. The host checked on me several times throughout our stay to make sure we were set. I loved how close we were to the entrance of RMNP but also 6 mins from Safeway, restaurants, and downtown. I highly recommend and we will be coming back on our next trip to Estes

Thank you so much for the glowing review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the updates, especially the tiled shower and fans, and that everything was spotless and well-stocked for your stay. It's great to hear the hot tub and convenient location made your trip even better. We truly appreciate the recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back on your next visit to Estes Park!
Beautifully updated cabin with lovely property and an unbeatable location close to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Of COURSE the hot tub was the highlight of the place, but just barely. The units were recently remodeled and in great shape. Hot tub was hot and ready to go when we arrived, and was nice and clean.
Will definitely stay here again if we're ever in Estes Park.
I stayed here with four other guys for my best friend’s bachelor party and we thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. The private hot tub was by far the highlight. The check-in process was smooth and easy. The property manager was super responsive when I had an issue. I would definitely use this property again when I am in the Estes Park area.

Nicely updated. Had everything you’d need. Hot tub wasn’t clean.
Location in respect to town and RMNP entrance was wonderful. Beautiful scenery. Quiet. Walking path across street was nice. Host was very accommodating and quick to answer questions we had. The only negative were the beds. One was broke down and every time husband turned over he about bounced me out. And he is only 175lbs. I ended up on sleeper sofa. The other bed was super soft and would wrap around you when you laid down. Sofa would sink in when you sat down.
