Middle Bay Hideaway is a beautiful four bedroom, two and a half bath private home that overlooks the scenic Mobile Bay. You'll enjoy incredible views from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom, but our whole families favorite area to hang out is the back porch! Enjoy your days fishing, crabbing, kayaking, boating, or just enjoying the view on the pier. You may also love spending time at the beach, swimming in your own private pool, or simply relaxing and reading a good book in the porch swing. Take in the gorgeous sunrise over the bay as you enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a glass of wine while sitting by the firepit at night. We also have a private pier for fishing and crabbing. No Boat slip. We are only 2 miles from the nearest boat launch, 15 minutes from the beaches of Dauphin Island, and 5 minutes from the nearest grocery store. We offer a gourmet kitchen for those who enjoy cooking your own meals, but we are also close to many fabulous restaurants for a wonderful meal out. You will not find better seafood anywhere else! We have WiFi available for your internet needs and TV's in every bedroom. We offer Direct TV service or log-in to your streaming channels. A few of our favorite local activities is hiking the Audubon Bird Sanctuary trails on Dauphin Island, riding bikes on the Island, touring the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, touring Fort Gaines, riding the Ferry over to Fort Morgan, Cedar Point Fishing Pier, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, and spending the day on the West End of Dauphin Island. If you love to fish, you are in for a treat. Some of the best charter fishing boats are right out of Dauphin Island. Where the largest fishing rodeo is held every July. We are only 20 minutes to the nearest Walmart and they also make deliveries directly to our home. We are 20 minutes to Mobile where we have a brand new Top Golf and Dave And Busters. Great for a girls weekend getaway, a guys fishing or golf trip, and family vacations. We are only about 45 minutes to the casinos of Biloxi, Ms. There is something for everyone to enjoy!!! Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Leave beds unmade that have been slept in. Place all dirty towels in laundry room in front of washer.
Set thermostat to 74. Clean out refrigerator and wipe down.
Make sure all garbage is bagged and placed in outdoor garbage cans.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Diving in Pool or off Bulk Head!!! Swim in the Bay at your own risk and always wear protective water shoes.
If traveling with a pet, please keep kenneled while you are away from the home.
NO SMOKING IN HOUSE! This includes vapes! If you smoke outside, please throw your butts in thrash and do not throw on ground.

This house was everything it said it would be! Spacious enough to comfortably sleep 8 people and room for everyone to spread out. The pool was lovely and a staple activity when we were at the house, and the view-especially the sunrises each morning-were simply breathtaking! Close enough to everything to be convenient with several local places to grab food when we didn’t want to cook. Definitely recommend this home and will enjoy staying there again when we return to the area!

Girls Trip Getaway

The house was very inviting and was plenty big enough for our group of 8 women. We enjoyed the pool and beds were comfortable. It’s great that there is an ice maker in the kitchen and it could keep up with our group. We had a wonderful dinner cooked by Southern Traditions Catering, and the house was a great base camp for beach activities. We took the ferry one day and highly recommend that! It was all a great experience.

Great sunrise location

Close proximity to Dauphin Island beaches and attractions yet far enough away to be quiet and secluded. Freighters and fishing boats passed by day and night. Pelicans, Egrets, Cranes and Eagles visited often. This is the spot to watch the perfect sunrise. The pool is not heated, but the sun warmed it enough to use in March. Owners were very helpful and shared preferred eateries and activities that were spot on. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Bay House

We had a wonderful stay at the Beautiful Bay House. The house was exactly as described and had everything that we needed. We loved the gas Firepit on the patio. The Sunrises and Moon rises were outstanding. It was too cold to swim in the Pool, but it would be wonderful to use in the warmer weather. I would recommend the Beautiful Bay House to anyone.

A refreshing family spring break trip with all the comforts of home

This rental was literally the best vacation home I’ve rented. Beyond the fact that it was beautifully decorated, The host was so very nice and accommodating for anything we requested or any questions we had. The HUGE open concept kitchen was fully stocked with any cookware or serveware item you could think of, it was a perfect place to gather with our visiting family and friends. We had 2 kids under 4 years old and there was so much room for everyone that it felt so comfortable and spacious. Overall we were sad to leave at the end of the weekend, this home felt like such a welcome retreat. We want to stay again next year!

An amazing piece of Alabama

This place was perfect for our stay. The house and grounds were amazing. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the pool and the view of the bay. If you’re wanting to kick back and relax, it’s perfect. Part way through our stay we had trouble with the air conditioner and contacted the host. It was late in the evening before she saw our message, but she had someone there early the next morning to address the issue. Eventually it was resolved. Thanks, Paula. If we ever head back to southern Alabama, we’ll definitely check to see if Middle Bay Hideaway is available.

INCREDIBLE VIEW & AWESOME ACCOMMODATIONS!!!

This has been one of our favorite places to stay!!! The house is amazing! The decor is beautiful and the house is very clean and spacious! The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and pans we needed. We cooked a good bit of the time we were there and even used the outside grill. The outside was our favorite place to be with the swimming pool and the AMAZING view!!! Paula was wonderful to work with and stayed in contact with us throughout the week. She is the perfect hostess! Family Getaway

I had a work event located in saraland and decided to make a family getaway out of the trip to the area. We found the house to be perfect for our needs. It comfortably splet our family of 5 plus my mother, so 6 of us altogether. The house is stocked really well and we had everything we needed for our stay. We even cooked a meal in the kitchen and thete was nothing lacking. The pool was awesome. Our kids enjoyed it so much. Perfect for play and for relaxing. The virw is spectacular. You can lay out by the pool and look over the bay. We had such a nice stay at Middle Bay.

Pretty property right off Mobile Bay

The property was in the perfect location. My husband was able to enjoy some time fishing on the property. The rest of us enjoyed being able to watch and swim in the pool. It was nice to be 15 min from a public beach! The beds were comfy, and the house was very clean. The only downfall was that the pools pump shut off and we didn’t know, we were not sure of the pool schedule so we were not sure if/when someone was going to come check it. So the last two days we didn’t get to enjoy the pool at we would have liked.

Peaceful Restorative Paradise

Amazing! First trip in a couple years due to deaths, surgeries and tornado recovery. I wanted to relax before total knee replacement next week. We were so happy here! Beautifully decorated, the kitchen is a cook’s dream. So nice to have the pool overlooking the bay. I spent a lot of time on an air mattress doing my preop exercises. Sent pictures to friends to instigate a girls getaway.. Good restaurants and grocery store nearby. Host obviously went over and above in seeing that everything you could possibly need to be comfortable was provided.

Great location. House was exactly as advertised with a great pool right on the bay. Plenty of towels etc and kitchen supplies, linens etc. everything very clean. Took a while to figure lighting the stove, you just have to be patient. The oven door was kinda wonky and hard to open and close. The bottom door on the oven broke or was already broken. We could not figure out why since we didn’t use it. But in fairness I don’t think the owner knew that. Process and communication was good but storm taking out the internet kinda delayed things a bit. Overall we had a great stay and were happy with our choice.

Beautiful and so relaxing!

It was exactly what we looked for and it was very clean! My kids loved the pool and we spent alot of time in it! It was in a nice area and it was very quiet and relaxing! Us adults spent every evening out on the porch by the fire table! We even sat out when it was pouring down rain! It was awesome having that room off the master for out kids because in a new place they want to be near us especially at night and so they could come straight to us if they woke up. It was a great week and we enjoyed it so much! I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends! We are wanting to vome back again and we will definitely look to see if it will be available! Overall, great layout for 2 families with small children. Large, open kitchen and was well stocked with everything you might need. We enjoyed having the covered outdoor area with the large swing directly off the main suite. The tub faucet in the jack and jill bathroom was coming off the wall when pulling up to turn on the overhead shower. There was a musty smell coming from possible drainage in the same bathroom. Our boys loved having access to the pool. Thank goodness for the pool because we were under the impression of having a pier (as shown in 1/3 of the pictures) but to our avail - it was the neighbor's pier. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS MISCONCEPTION! We booked 6 months in advance and after 3 adults read the description over the course of time (many times!), it wasn't until 2 days before that we noticed in the description that the pier doesn't belong to the property. Having a pier was the #1 reason for choosing this VRBO. Paula was less than empathetic to this. We attempted to fish off the "bulkhead" but reeled in a garden hose. Catching crabs was nonexistent and like so, she confirmed there was a proper beach for kids to play but this can't be reached w/o trespassing onto the neighbor's property.

My family and I have all grew up on the beautiful gulf coast and wouldn't want to live any where else. We love our beautiful area beaches, Gulf of Mexico, rivers, and especially Mobile Bay. We enjoy everything outdoors. We are avid fishermen, hunters, and love all sports! We spend as much time outdoors and on the water as possible. We hope you fall in love with our beautiful area and wildlife as well! Be on the look out for our beautiful Bald Eagles that can be seen flying over and diving for fish frequently.

Why they chose this property

We love being on Mobile Bay and the location is the best! We are only 2 mile from the boat launch at the Pelican Reef and a quick boat ride to the Gulf of Mexico, Sand Island, or West end Beach. By car, we make quick trips to the beach often, take bike rides on the Island or hike the trails of the Audubon Bird Sanctuary. There's always something for everyone.

What makes this property unique

We love the single floor lay out of this home. My husband hates stairs. So this really sold us on this property all those years ago. Now that we are older, we appreciate it even more. Not only is it a wonderfully laid out house, but it also offers plenty of room without feeling like you are on top of each other. We love spending most of our time outside. So we love our large back patio overlooking the bay and the pool. This offers our family many opportunities to spend lots of time together and make many memories. We love spending hours in the pool playing with the grandchildren and lazy afternoons grilling out and eating our dinner outside overlooking the beautiful bay. We also love relaxing with a nice glass of wine late in the evening and enjoying a little quiet time sitting around the fire pit. Mostly my family enjoys their time spent on the pier fishing and crabbing. Then we enjoy cooking their catch and the fresh gulf coast seafood. However you choose to spend your vacation, we hope Middle Bay Hideaway offers all you are looking for.
