This newly remodeled victorian home on the banks of the Animas River is only a few blocks from Main Street. This riverfront home combines the best of what Silverton offers in views and location with an affordable, well appointed, newly remodeled in town rental. The home is an 800 sq ft 2 bedroom, 1 bath second level apartment at the base of Kendall Mountain, just steps from the Kendall Mountain Recreation Area. It is a clean and simple contemporary space perfect for singles, couples or a family. With a full kitchen, dinning area, living room and second-story deck overlooking the river, this unit affords incredible mountain and river sights and sounds with all the modern day amenities. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a twin over queen bunk bed. There is also very comfortable, full-size pull-out couch and an additional single mattress that can be placed on the floor making this unit able to accommodate up to 6 guests.

The Animas River House is a 5 minute walk, 4 blocks to downtown Silverton, yet off the beaten path. There is something wonderful about the combination of tall mountains, rushing rivers and small town hospitality. Silverton, Colorado offers these and much more. Very nice, clean, and fully furnished upstairs of a house. House backs up to the river and Kendall Mountain. Backyard is fenced for pets. Owner was very responsive to questions about gas heater which was off when we arrived on a Sunday evening. We would definitely recommend this property and plan on returning.

Great stay. Close to the river and town. Loved the deck. The BBQ grill was a wonderful surprise. Just a FYI, there are 16 stairs to the unit, which is located on the 2nd floor. Not a problem for us. Wonderful stay, wonderful hosts!

The house was in a beautiful location and easy to walk to down town. Just as described. The hosts were also super responsive. The place was a little dirty (ex there was a hair in the bed before we got into bed) and there was a shelf falling off the wall when we got there. But this is all general wear and tear things that I expect of a VRBO so it wasn’t an issue. Would still recommend :)

Fantastic spot and great host

We loved the place. It was cozy, great location, and wow the shower was so amazing. After some hard skiing, we really appreciated a good hot steamy shower with great water pressure.

Silverton Ski Trip - Rule of 5

We were on a family trip to Silverton with the main purpose of skiing at the nearby mountain. The Animas River House was perfect for our 5 night stay in town. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Silverton town center and was a good size for a group of 5. We really enjoyed our stay!
