About this property

Historic Stone House Lancaster: Grand Piano, Professionally Designed, King Beds

This exquisite home once operated as a General Store, exuding an irresistible charm with its 18th-century architecture. Its unique features include thick fieldstone walls, a cozy wood stove, bubble glass windows, and dual staircases, spread across 2,700 square feet. No expense was spared on the interior design of the house with high-end furnishings.

For art and antique enthusiasts, original paintings and various artworks adorn the living spaces. The kitchen has a timeless charm with its wood beam ceilings and stone walls. It’s equipped with modern amenities that cater to the needs of a contemporary chef.

The home's environmental impact is minimized by an energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling system. Water is sourced from an artesian spring, gently flowing to a peaceful pond on the property.

During spring and summer, the property showcases the beauty of mature walnut, cherry, oak, and locust trees. Wildlife abounds, with deer, turkeys, hummingbirds, owls, and more gracing the landscape. The grounds feature stunning perennial flower beds adorned with lilies, daisies, peonies, and other delightful blooms.

Living Room: Step into the stunning living room, just off the foyer, where a baby grand player piano beneath a glittering crystal chandelier sets the tone. Original paintings and a wood stove fireplace add to the ambiance. A large sectional provides ample seating for relaxation, and an optional king-size air mattress is available for larger groups.

Kitchen: The kitchen seamlessly marries modern design with historic stone walls and original Amish-made cabinetry. It comes fully equipped to meet your culinary needs, and you can savor your morning coffee in comfortable armchairs flanking an antique storage cabinet.

Dining Room: The dining room features a dazzling crystal chandelier from Arhaus. Adjacent to it, a butler's pantry provides ample storage and a brand-new full bathroom with laundry facilities.

Primary Bedroom and Bathroom: Ascend the back staircase to discover a private wing housing the primary suite. It boasts a king-size leather bed, a Roku TV, and a brand-new ensuite bathroom adorned with Carrera marble tiles.

Guest Rooms: Ascend the main staircase to access two comfortable guest rooms, each furnished with a king-size bed and a desk workspace.

WiFi and Audio Systems: The property is fully equipped with WiFi, featuring an Eero mesh network seamlessly connected to Comcast high-speed internet to ensure a smooth online experience. Furthermore, you can enjoy high-quality audio throughout the house, thanks to the Sonos speakers throughout.

Other things to note
Please note that this house shares a driveway with an adjacent historic home where the owners or other rental guests may be staying.

A rental contract is required for every booking and will be sent to guests within the 48-hour zero penalty cancellation period.

Please be aware that this old house has a back staircase with uneven stairs, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. We recommend guests with such considerations to take note of this before booking.

The safety and well-being of our guests are our top priorities. Prior to check-in, we kindly request that all guests answer screening questions regarding COVID exposure or symptoms.

Pet Policy: We welcome well-behaved dogs! We recommend ensuring your dog is up to date on flea/tick medication prior to their stay. To maintain cleanliness, we kindly ask that all dogs remain off the furniture at all times, even those that are considered "non-shedding." When left alone in the house, we request that you crate your pet. If you plan to bring your pet, please inform us at the time of booking. A pet fee of $100 per pet per stay will apply.

Although the house is conveniently located near various amenities, it is also nestled in Lancaster County's renowned farms and fields. Please be aware that you may encounter some wildlife, such as ladybugs, stinkbugs, deer, turkeys, bees, wasps, frogs, moths, ticks, spiders, bats, snakes, etc., during your stay. Our dedicated housekeepers and pest control service work diligently to maintain cleanliness and tidiness. However, as the house is centuries old and situated in the countryside, the occasional encounter with wildlife or the scent of nearby farms is possible.

Host profile image
We are your Perennial Stays hosts, Leigh & Corey. We live in Baltimore City and have been married since 2010.

By day, Corey is an engineer, and Leigh is an accountant. In 2015, at the recommendation of some friends, we decided to earn a little extra money by renting out our primary residence in Baltimore while we traveled. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to branch out to our first property in West Virginia. In 2018 we purchased our second property in West Virginia – the farmhouse! Finally, in 2021 we decided to expand to beautiful Lancaster, PA – coming soon!

Leigh loves the design, hospitality, and marketing aspects, while Corey enjoys hunting for houses, renovations, and operations. A perfect match!

We look forward to hosting your getaway.
