A zen beach cottage with vaulted ceilings, neutral coastal decor, beautiful sunlight, natural wood, large yard, plenty of parking, grill, outdoor shower. Beautiful Long Sands beach is just a 5 minute walk to the end of the street close to bathhouse & snack bar. You can hear the ocean from the screened-in porch (that sleeps two!) or while sunning on the deck. 2 smart TV’s, washer/dryer, wifi. A short walk to Long Sands restaurants and surf shop. Nearby attractions include the Nubble lighthouse, short sands beach, restaurants & arcade entertainment, candy store, wild animal farm and boutique shops. A short drive to Ogunquit’s Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. We are new owners and recently renovated the kitchen, painted the exterior and started a flower garden. This is a great family friendly place to create lasting memories. Includes linens and beach gear. We know you’ll love it as much as we do! Available for short-term year-round. Reduced rates off season. Discounts for multiple weeks.

Our family purchased this dream cottage in 2023. We had been vacationing in York for nearly 20 years and always wanted to own our own place. We love this perfect spot just 3 blocks from beautiful Long Sands beach and so close to the bath house and snack bar! When we were renting we appreciated family friendly rentals with easy access to the beach, that included linens and beach gear. We work hard to ensure your family makes lasting memories at our child-friendly, dog-friendly, smoke-free home away from home where caregivers get to relax with amenities like WiFi, TVs, an in-house washer/dryer, outdoor shower, beach gear including carts, chairs and toys, a good-sized yard and grill. This really is the perfect place!
Why they chose this property
We love the sunset over the Nubble lighthouse, walks on Long Sands beach, play dates with the dogs. getting shaved ice in Short Sands and relaxing with our toes in the surf. And if we forget something, or need a break from the sun, a quick walk back to the cottage and we can relax in the air conditioning, on the deck or in the hammock. We love our neighbors and especially enjoy the blueberry ginger lemonade from the Grateful Gardens farm stand around the corner.
What makes this property unique
Our cottage has peaceful energy. We fell in love at first sight. It was built in the 1940s and is a year-round cottage - just a few minutes walk to the beach. We have a new kitchen, redecorated with a modern cottage coastal decor, and are always working on landscaping (I'm a flower gardener!). We recently painted the exterior and will be doing some stonescaping in the spring. We are sure you will love this place as much as we do. We have already built a base of families who come back every year. We book up quickly so don’t wait.
