The Dolphin Flat

Exclusive and quiet (unless a rocket launches), first floor apartment in downtown Titusville. The building is on the Indian River right across from the Kennedy Space Center's launch pads and two blocks from Titusville's common area with restaurants, shops and clubs. A large window in the living room will allow you to look out Indian River Avenue to Astronaut Memorial Park and Sandpoint Park. It’s a people (or dog) watchers paradise. Your flat is just South of Scobie Park and there are several more parks North toward the city marina. Although not directly on the river it is just down the stairs and a few steps around the corner to view launch pads and scheduled rocket launches from the Space Center.

Totally staying again

If you are into beaches, rockets and nice places to stay, this is the place for you. Woke up to the world shaking and was able to run outside quickly to watch a rocket launch. Super Awesome! Well themed and convenient stay

Perfectly placed between coffee shops and rocket launches. We (especially my daughter) loved the decorations - the boat and animal themes throughout. Mitch was also great to communicate with - clear directions to the property and getting checked in.I'd definitely stay here again on our next visit to the space coast.

Great, central location

The property is clean, comfortable and ideally located to explore the area. Capt Mitch is friendly and accommodating, checking in to see we were comfortable and offering full use of the patio to enjoy a launch.

Great condo great host!

The condo is beautiful, clean, and had very unique nautical decor. Captain Mitch was an excellent host and had clear communication. The location of the condo is great for rocket launches and the historic downtown Titusville. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Titusville.

Great Place to stay!

We were only able to stay 3 nights, but are already plotting our next trip for longer. We had everything we needed and so close to the bridge onto Merritt Island and to the bike trails. Watched a rocket launch one evening and spent the days birdwatching at the NWR. Great spot to watch a sunrise too.

Fishing Trip

Excellent location for going fishing and to Kennedy Space Center. Walkable area with bakeries, coffee shops, and eateries nearby. Condo is quiet with great nautical decor.

Communication with Captain Mitch was great. The place had everything you need and clean. Walkable to the downtown restaurants. In all my stay was great would definitely come back.

Weekend Getaway

We stayed at Capt Mitch’s property for our friend’s wedding. Beautiful location right on the water and close to Titusville’s cute downtown, with plenty of food options within walking distance. Capt Mitch was great at giving directions. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here!

Perfect for a heach couple

Capt Mitch was a great host with quick replies to our questions and even loaned us some beach equipment on a last minute request. The rooms were decorated with a lot of nautical and fishing items that all had a story. We'll be returning to this property.

Stayed in Titusville after a few days in Daytona. Flat is very cute with everything needed for a short stay. Great location in town near the water, with several bars and eateries within walking distance. Easy in and out with motorcycle and trailer, and Cpt. Mitch was easy to work with!

Great Place

We enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin Flat. Capt. Mitch is a great host and very responsive. The location is wonderful with a great view of the river. Space launches are clearly visible from the deck and we were lucky to spot some Dolphins in the river. Great place for a family! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Water Views

Our stay here was wonderful. There is a beautiful view of the water and space stations to see at sunrise (or anytime) and the rental is beautifully and meticulously decorated. Very comfortable. Very cozy. Very clean. We would stay here again. Very close to everything local and quite a few good restaurants nearby Felt safe to walk around and scenery was great!

Great downtown location

We had a great stay at the Dolphin Flat! It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Capt Mitch was super helpful and quick to respond.The location is excellent — walking distance to cute downtown Titusville with several really good restaurants and the excellent Titusville Playhouse. Plus you have a perfect view of launches from the back of the building!Tips for future guests: Don’t miss The Daley Trade and Cafe Paradisio! Downtown Diner is also great for breakfast. Also, there is a coffee pot and filters in the unit, but remember to bring/buy coffee and creamer!

Capt. Mitch was wonderful. Full of knowledge of local area and the rockets across the water. Capt. About the host

Hosted by Mitch Matheny

Captain Mitch has lived in Titusville since the early 60's managing two marinas .... Kennedy Point Yacht Club and Harbor Town Marina before going to sea. As a boat captain he worked in the offshore petroleum industry assisting in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. Along the way he has collected interesting and older nautical stuff which is scattered around the property for your enjoyment.

What makes this property unique

The Marlin Flats are on the Indian River across from the Space Center and a short walk to Titusville's downtown shops, resturants and clubs. Several parks and even the city marina can be reached by walking a little further.
