WELCOME! From the instant you enter the living area, you will drop your suitcases and stand in awe at the magnificent ocean and sea stacks seen a short distance below. Our condo is considered a prime location at Rainbow Rock because of its unobstructed over 180 degree view south down the Oregon Coast and west out to sea.
A truly beautiful few minutes private access walk along a well groomed winding path and over a wooden bridge to our private deeded beach will lead you to Rainbow Rock's own pot of gold, a cave with unique rock formations which are a geological wonder. When the sun is pouring into the cave colorful rocks go dancing before your very eyes! The beach has driftwood and sea stacks, star fish and mussels, and you will be able to have enjoyable long walks along the coast toward the town of Brookings. Access to this beach is private, for owners and their guests (that's you!) and more often than not, you will have it all to yourselves!
If you like whale watching, pristine tide pools, beachcombing, star gazing, sensational sunsets, hiking (the Coastal Trail is practically at your door step), and sitting in the condo or on the deck watching the waves roll in, then you've picked the perfect place--our balcony! Seasonally, whales stop to socialize with one another right in front of the Rainbow Rock condos, often staying for days at a time. They seem to love showing off by spouting and flipping their tails up in the air, almost like they are inviting you to come play. There is a lookout place just below our condo on Highway 101 (the Coastal Highway) where people pull over to whale watch. The fantastic Harris Beach State Park, just a mile or so away, has a group of locals who offer whale watching tips during winter migration to Mexico where, in the warmer waters of Baja, their babies are born.
Our condo is comfortable and family friendly. It is exceptionally CLEAN and well equiped with furnished linens and kitchen appliances. A gas BBQ is at the ready and a Jen Air stove has a grill. Everything from a popcorn popper to a crock pot is available for your comfort and use. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and there is also a guest bathroom close to the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has two twin beds, the master bedroom has a king size bed, and there is a hide-a-bed in the living room. Pillows are all in protective covers as are the mattresses.
The ocean can be seen from most rooms in the condo, exceptions are the bathrooms and the guest bedroom which overlooks the Rainbow Rock complex. The rhythmic sound of the ocean can be heard from the living, master bedroom, and kitchen areas, especially when the sliding glass doors and windows are open, adding to the atmosphere of being at the fabulous Oregon Coast. From this condo highway traffic is not heard so you can enjoy the deck while reading, visiting or just watching the exciting ocean scene. This is a top floor (3rd) end unit affording all the privacy you could want . RAINBOW ROCK CONDOS DO NOT HAVE ELEVATORS.

Lovely property that was clean and quiet. Absolutely stunning views and we loved the private beach access. Great communication with host. We will definitely be staying again.
The view is spectacular, the property is well-managed, and if you crack open a window you're greeted by the soothing sound of ocean waves crashing against the shore. Plus, you're in close proximity to giant redwoods, fishing, sightseeing, etc.

So glad you had a wonderful experience! Can't beat the fabulous view, and it's nice to be reminded that the ambience of the ocean extends to other senses as well, and you were able to take advantage of the whole opportunity available! Please come again!
View, View, View!!! Best stay ever. The location was close to everything you need, and easy to travel up or down 101. This was a girls trip we will always remember.
We love this unit. It is always clean and well-supplied and the housekeeping staff are wonderful. The views are exceptional. We have stayed here many times and love it!
The balcony was both calming and exhilarating! We loved looking out each night taking oodles of pictures. Daytime was fabulous too. We will definitely try to come back. The bedrooms and baths were perfect for our group.
This was a wonderful place to stay! The balcony gave us beautiful sunrise AND sunset views. We spent most of our days at Lone Ranch Beach, only a mile up the road. Lots of surf, sea stacks and fishing. We've already rebooked for next year!
The stay was great! The sofa bed needs some work as it’s really old and the mattress sags quite a bit, but other than that it was gorgeous!!

Incredible location. Safe. Well located for walks, dining, shopping, resting, meditating, building memories with family. Rooms are thoughtfully prepared...games, fireplace, binocs even though they need an upgrade, furniture.
The view was outstanding, the condo is very comfortable. The owner communicated quickly and is very kind. I absolutely would stay again, and highly recommend this condo.
We have greatly enjoyed our condo for the past decade. Until we retired in 2006, we were able to spend many long weekends, an easy drive from our home in California. It was always such a nice break from my husbands busy medical practice to relax for awhile at Rainbow Rock. Crabbing down at the wharf in Harbor, just across the bridge from Brookings and visiting local parks and beaches are what we like to do. We also love the nearby Redwood groves, forests and lighthouses along the Southern Oregon coast.
Why they chose this property
We love the Oregon Coast! We also have a large family and wanted to provide a place for them to enjoy. We had looked at many possibilities up and down the coast and liked Brookings best. This area of the Oregon coast is called the banana belt because of its warmer weather. Brookings is big enough for good places to eat and fun things to do but small enough to not feel hurried. It is close to wonderful things to see like the Redwoods and small port towns. It is a great location and on the ocean, couldn't ask for more! Our grandchildren find lots to do here and love to come visit us.....that's a big plus!
What makes this property unique
Serenity, beauty, comfortable, safe gated community, nice people to meet, short walk to the beach through a lovely wooded area that is well kept, close to town, fishing, for starters. Wild blackberries grow along the mountain pathway below the condo and we enjoy picking them to eat and bake a pie. The Coastal Trail by the condo leads to a lookout over the ocean via a wooded pathway that crosses a little bridge, It is a nice walk through pines and ferns.
