Relax in this peaceful, stylish space surrounded by State Forest..

In floor radiant heat keeps the floors in the separate rental unit warm. Walk around in your bare feet !

Plush towels, soft sheets and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay. New pots and pans, dishes, flatware as well as basic spices. The entire unit is your private space with your separate entrance.

Eastern exposure brings the morning sun into the space. Located on the end of a ridge on wooded lot with mountain views highlight the rustic setting.

The space
Bring your fly rod and waders or your hiking boots.
Surrounded by state forest lands and just minutes from world-class fishing on Penns Creek as well as hiking and biking trails in Bald Eagle State Forest and Cherry Run hiking and biking trail. Deer, wild turkeys and songbirds are often spotted using the property.

We are within a half hour of Bucknell University and hour from Penn State.
Guest access
The entire suite is your private area as well as use of the fire pit and lawn area. There is plenty free of parking on site for several vehicles if needed.
Other things to note
All you need to bring is personal toiletries, food, beverages and any specialty items. If you forget to bring something, just ask as I may have it here.
We have firewood for your enjoyment of the firepit.

The place could sleep four to five people. We didn't have any children with us. It was my husband and his best friend. The host was friendly and accommodating. Such a peaceful place to stay. It was out in the country but it was exactly what we needed.

Place was kind of hard too find. And couldn't contact host, poor cell service. We stopped to ask someone working in their driveway where we were to find out it was the owner. So much for quiet and peaceful. Host was nice, but there was nothing in add about sharing the rental with him living upstairs. No sleeping in late and hearing the toilet flushing. Fridge and microwave could have used a good cleaning. Host stated VRBO posted wrong pictures.There is a cancelation policy, but I wonder if there's a non acceptance policy.Last stay in the area at SCOTTIES was great.

Tina I am sorry that you had a hard time finding my place. I thought that the map and directions on my VRBO page were clear. The address is on the mailbox at the end of the driveway as well. The unit is listed as an apartment with a separate and private entrance too. We are in a very rural area so cell service is spotty here.

Secluded Mountain Hideaway

This cabin is located in a very quiet, peaceful area, which is fantastic for decompressing and relaxing. Keep in mind that it is a bit of a drive if you're looking for restaurants or shopping. Cell service is poor, as to be expected in the mountains, but there is wifi in the cabin with a strong signal. The cabin itself is very clean amd comfortable. You're renting the bottom level, while the host lives in the top level via a separate entrance. He is very kind and we didn't even notice him there once we were checked in. We did have to find him to get the door code because I texted him but he didn't receive it, (again, you're in the mountains and cell service is spotty). The cabin has everything you need as far as kitchen wares, bedding and towels. We have no complaints and would recommend to friends staying in the area!
