About this property
Guest room with private outside entrance with bath in Historic Barrio Viejo
Tucson Barrio Viejo is a “Top Place to Go in North America in 2024” in Condé Nast Travelers list. “Go for the historic melting pot galvanized by delicious dining and culture. The travel publication says.” Barrio Viejo will receive a National Historic Landmark in 2024.
The neighborhood boasts one of largest concentrations of stylistically unchanged 1880s adobe buildings in the US converted into cafes and restaurants.
Experience the charm of a private guest room in historic Barrio Viejo.
A beautiful patio and comfortable amenities, this is the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Book your stay and indulge in a truly enchanting experience.
The guest room has a private entrance with no access to the main building. Complete with its own bathroom. It has a coffee maker, microwave, small office refrigerator with a small freezer at the top, cable TV, and work space.
There is secured private parking for small or average size vehicles. Street parking for larger vehicles. We try to leave space in front of the house for Guests. Parking on the other side of the street is allowed except on Tuesday night (you will see the trash barrels). Our neighbor to the east of us has a driveway with a gate that is covered in vegetation..Be careful not to park there,The Police Department, that is 6 blocks away refers to our neighborhood as “Mayberry”. Younger guests will have to look up the reference to “The Andy Griffith Show”. (Nothing ever happened and was very safe). ATTENTION BUDGET TRAVERS: All public transportation is free in Tucson. This means you can get from the airport to within 3 blocks of the Guest Room. Take bus #25 to Ronstadt Transit Center. You are now1.1 miles from the Guest Room if you care to walk. To ride, Take Bus #2 or #12. Tell the driver you want to get off at El Minuto Restaurant. Get off the bus and punch in our address into your phone. The Guest Room is a seven minute walk. Please let us know when you check in. A seven walk will take you to the free street car.The street car will take you to downtown, 4th Ave, the University, and the Mercado. You can experience Tucson without renting a car or calling an Uber.We are 3 minutes from I-10, 17 minutes to the airport. We are Travel and Leisure’s number 2 food destination in the US, ( that is not a typo), North America’s first City of Gastronomy, the 7th ranked music city in the US and a top five American street. Conrad Nast recently designated downtown and the surrounding barrios as the best place to visit in the US. We try to have the “TUCSON WEEKLY” in the room that lists all of entertainment activities for the week.
