My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs for five nights at the end of July to escape the Phoenix heat, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The home is beautifully finished and located in a very quiet neighborhood on the less commercial side of Big Bear, while still being close to everything. It is a wonderful area for long walks with dogs and is less than half a mile from the Pine Knot Trail and Aspen Glen Picnic Area. The Village shops are also only about a mile away. For us, it was the perfect location. We ate breakfast at the Country Kitchen every morning, and everything was delicious. Azteca Grill is also less than a half-mile walk away, and we visited several times for the dog-friendly patio, incredible margaritas, grilled shrimp tacos, and tortilla soup. What surprised us most was how much the property felt like a genuine home rather than a vacation rental. The bedrooms were all nicely appointed, and the primary bedroom was beautifully decorated with a comfortable queen bed. The bathroom featured a large shower with a multi-head rainfall system and a jetted tub.One of our favorite features was the large deck and hot tub. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the cooler weather, relaxing on the deck, and soaking in the hot tub.Dario was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. The home, location, and hospitality exceeded our expectations. We truly felt at home and would happily stay here again.
