Bugs

There were lots of dead flies and stink bugs in the house and in the main floor tub, other than that it was great!

Not the Lydia we're used to

We've stayed with Lydia Mt. for years and never had a negative experience. This home was spacious, with a nice big yard. It was however, not very clean, dirty coffee pot, cobwebs in every window, dead bugs and dirt under tables and the tv. The upstairs shower was terrible to operate and had very little water pressure. Water backed up in the tub when showering. Many bugs inside the home. The hot tub was unusable, with shooting water ejecting out of the tub. Very disappointed that these things were obviously overlooked by Lydia Mt. before renting this out.

Consider a Different Cabin

The house is cute from the outside but very old and could use updating on the inside. The faucet in the shower on the main floor didn’t work, there were bugs and spiders all over the bottom floor, the television did not work and when we showed up, our key code did not work. It’s also very hard to get a ahold of someone at the lodge desk. Other family members who stayed in cabins throughout the property had cabins that were much nicer, cleaner and updated. May consider some updating and pest control in the near future.

Cabin Needs Repair!

We’ve stayed at many VRBOs, and we have many complaints on this stay!! 1st, the heat did not work! The only heat source was the fireplace, which isn’t conducive to coming and going. Once informed, the owner did bring an HVAC repairman in, but it did not fix things till the end of our rental. 2nd, the shower on the main level did not work properly. When we finally rigged it to work on day 2, we stood in ankle deep water!! Ick!!! 3rd the hot tub was disgusting! 4th, the cabin was dirty; not terribly, but there were dead flies, bugs and dust ball under the furniture. Overall, it is a cute place with lots to offer, but the owners need to put money back into their investment. To make this right we feel we deserve a discounted rate or refund.
