FAST fiber optic internet with multiple work spaces and views! Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains are close by, for peaceful hikes, relaxing drives, and spectacular sunsets. Staying a week? Pay for 5 nights, 2 are free! Can't fit in everything you want to see, taste and do? Turn a 2 night weekend into 3 with a low-cost Sunday night stay.

Wildwood lies at the junction of history and hospitality in the Madison Barbour Historic District, a half-hour drive each to the University of Virginia or Woodberry Forest School. Barboursville Vineyards is ten minutes away.

Imagine a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and dining room, plus outdoor deck dining and grill space, to allow you and those you love to relax and celebrate together indoors and out on this working family farm. The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Lock the doors and return the keys
Bed linens can stay in the room on the floor after beds are stripped. Any room not slept in, please close the door. Thank you! Leave the pack n play open so we may clean and store.
Bath laundry can go down the chute in the second floor closet to laundry room below. Thank you!
Recycling can stay in the blue bins in walkin pantry. Please bag, tie and walk trash to chain link enclosure near the shed, place in bins, close tight, and latch gate. Thank you!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Any event or gathering including guests beyond ten overnight guests incurs a taxable event fee for us to manage flows, parking, and event coordination
Open to longer stays. Stays of more than 14 nights/2 weeks incur an additional cleaning fee of $325 every two weeks, scheduled with you, plus deposit
Please mind, this is our housekeeper’s only job she is doing prior to retirement. She supports her whole family with your cleaning fees. Many thanks!!

We loved the kitchen with all the needed equipment to make several "gourmet" meals. The house was clean and very welcoming. We very much enjoyed the quiet and serene surroundings. Hiking the trail was fun and a great opportunity to explore the rustic area. The hosts were incredibly responsive to all our questions, before and during our stay!!

Beautiful autumn weekend

This quiet and very well decorated farmhouse is in the lovely orange county. We stayed there during the recent steeplechase race. It would be a perfect venue for wedding functions and trips to Vineyard. I highly recommend this property.

The farmhouse and surrounding land was peaceful and gorgeous. We were there for a family wedding in nearby Somerset. We had plenty of room for all the cooks in the kitchen and enjoyed the views from every window and porch! We even saw the northern lights one night!

A great break from the city

These owners got it right! Wonderful location, tucked back where you can actually see real stars (and many) while enjoying time with your guests and a camp fire at the same time. House also made it easy for families with kids. Plenty of living and social space. We will definitely return.

Virginia’s property is beautiful — a rustic farmhouse with plenty of room for friends and family. Our group enjoyed the deck and grill — unfortunately (or fortunately) there was no service/connectivity on the property. We had a great day at Barboursville Vineyard up the street!
