This is our second time staying here and it is our favorite place for peace and quiet! I can’t say enough about how clean the cabin and the grounds are at this location. 1.3 miles off of a secondary road is a must if you want to relax without noise and still be modern enough to enjoy the hot tub and internet if you choose, I wish they had more than 5 stars to rate them

Great Stay
Great Little getaway for me and my wife. Loved to have time in the hot tub then spend time by the fire. It was private and quiet, perfect place to unwind and recharge your batteries. Would stay again.

If you’re looking to really escape
I had a wonderful stay at this property. It’s definitely higher up on the mountain and it was very quiet. The place was very clean and they equipped it with just about everything you could possibly need for a getaway. The hot tub was everything. The only thing I would change is maybe the grill and some information on how to get firewood in case you want to use the pit.

Great time
Wonderful stay. Our pass code to open door wouldn't work, but it was quick fix. Small cabin, but had everything needed and we were quite comfortable!!!! We hope to be back

Great stay
Great property and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Hot tub was great. Only complaint is a sewage smell on the patio by the clean out. We also couldn't find any way to turn on the logs.

Awesome weekend!
Absolutely wonderful stay! Quiet, secluded and beautiful. Everything we needed was available and we had such a beautiful and peaceful weekend. T.V. worked but we never watched it. We had cellphone service but we barely touched our phones. Thank you for an excellent weekend. We will be returning!!

Lovely Stay
We had a fantastic time at the Lydia Mountain Lodge, the cabin was a bit tricky to drive into, and the first night it had not been cleaned so we had to get a last-minute room in the lodge. But the staff was very helpful with that transition and we were able to get back into the Moutain Escape Cabin on the second night. The cabin once cleaned was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay, and we adored the hot tub and quaint cabin feel!
We were wondering if we could get a discount on a future stay since we were not able to stay in the cabin both evenings we had originally booked it for.

Second Stay
We have stayed at this cabin twice now. It’s a great little cabin for two! It’s a little tricky to find as the GPS will bring you to the road around the back where the property is not accessible. Luckily we remembered this time. Our only complaint is the amount of Japanese Beatles in the cabin. They are everywhere. We found them in the bed, they’re consistently crawling on the stove and sink. They drop from the ceiling above the kitchen table onto food/anyone sitting there. They’re all over the floor dead and alive. We see them in most Lydia cabins but not quite to this degree. Otherwise all was great. The hot tub and cabin was clean otherwise and we had a great Thanksgiving on the mountain!

Mountain escape
Bathroom was not clean
Cabin was infested with stinkbugs.
All cabins should include instructions on how to use the TV. We could not get local news or any sports stations.
Roads need to be better maintained.
it takes a truck or SUV to drive on the roads.

Mountain Escape...what's that smell?
Overall the house was ok. It was generally clean and put together well but the overwhelming smell of what i assume is mothballs when you walk in the house was nauseating. Everyrhing we brought into the house reaked of mothballs when we got home. Also the hot tub was disgusting. The water smelled foul, was yellow and there was alot debris and disintegrated bug pieces in the water. It seemed like it hadent been cleaned or maintained in weeks.
