Thank you so much for pointing out the cleanliness and beauty of Mirror Lake. The general public seems to think that the entire area around Lake Lure was devastated following the hurricane but Riverbend is lovely!
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin in the mountains. He had no problem getting around the cabin in his wheelchair. The cabin and lake were a peaceful and comfortable stay.
Everything was amazing the cabin it self was beautiful the view of the lake and all the places around we visit chimney rock and the view's where stunning family have a great time
We really enjoyed our time away at the cabin. My idea if vacation is peace and relaxation without crowds and thats just what we found here! The AC at the cabin works great! Love the mountain view from the kitchen sink and master bath!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views were as good as advertised. Location is excellent. It’s in a gated community with a lake, small beach, and short hiking trails to a waterfall and river. The only shortcoming is that the third bedroom is not quite a full “bedroom”Has all of the basic kitchenware.
We enjoyed our stay and found the cabin roomy enough for our needs. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed cooking meals with family. Loved the convenient lake access and used the canoe several times! Suzie was quick to respond to our questions and made the check-in process very convenient!
Perfect vacation spot. Clean, comfortable, great location, well stocked. Loved the decor. Our Granddog loved the secured deck. We made some wonderful family memories. Highly recommend.
This is a really nice place to getaway. It was just the 2 of us in this very spacious cabin. Coffee on the deck in the morning was amazing. Don't fret over the "offroad" experience to get to the cabin. It's well worth the trouble.
My husband and I stayed at this property a little over a year ago, and decided to return for a few days to get away from the hustle and bustle at home. The place is truly gorgeous...well furnished and stocked with all the essentials. The two screened porches are a BIG asset in mosquito territory, and the gas fireplaces are just right for those cool mornings and evenings. A great quiet place for couples, but also big enough for the whole family. Had a great time!
This property was awesome we loved to log cabin and all its charm. We loved enjoying the screened porches and the fire places. Was a great way to spend some quality time with our family. Didn’t even turn the TV on the whole weekend. Susie was a great host and we would totally come back again.
This is one of the nicest cabins we have ever stayed in near lake Lure. Most cabins do not have the ambience and decorative touches that makes 329 Chipmunk many steps above the rest. Between the view, the cabin decor, and the owner's concern about our comfort makes this a cabin we wil surely return to,
House was beautifully decorated, loved the screen in decks, the the downside was the water was great if you enjoy cold showers, a Keurig coffee maker would've been nice , some sort of shading the glass doors facing lake would've been nice other than that , the family had a nice time

I sure wish you would have contacted me because there is a Keurig coffee maker in the cabinet. Also, I could have helped you with the hot water situation.

Could be so pretty
The view is great, the overall filth of the cabin was pretty intolerable. The ancient mattresses were very uncomfortable. A thorough cleaning and updated mattresses would do a world of good.
Location and subdivision were awesome. Views were pretty, lake access was awesome for the kids. We ran out of toilet paper and dishwasher tabs as there were not enough supplied. We were disappointed when we read at check in that we needed to wash and fold the towels and linens upon checkout as well. We were assessed a cleaning fee. Overall, we had a great experience and would come again, just prepared!

I’m glad you had a nice day and will be coming again. Sorry there were not enough supplies for a two night stay for your party of four. The cleaners only stock enough for you to get started on your vacation. I do supply a large quantity of beach towels for my guests so that they don’t have to bring their own. The only thing I ask of the guests is that they launder these beach towels as there is not enough time to wash and dry all of the bathroom towels and bed linens along with a dozen or more beach towels during a turnover clean.
About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Haupt
Hi, I’m Suzie Haupt. I have dreamt of living in a log cabin since 1956 when my family vacationed in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Then, in 1959 when we rented our cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack, my new dream became to live in a log cabin on a lake!
Why they chose this property
I moved to the coast of North Carolina in 1991 and found that I very much missed the mountains and fresh water swimming. Thus began my search for the perfect lake to retire to. In 2005 I discovered Mirror Lake and fell in love with it. The exquisite views and mild water temperatures from May through October offer me more pleasure than I ever dreamed of.
Until I am able to retire and move permanently into “WHATAVIEW” I’d like to share my dream with you. You won’t be disappointed! Please call if you have any questions.
What makes this property unique
This part of western North Carolina is simply pristine; it is so beautiful that just sitting on the deck watching the changing light on the lake and the clouds seems in itself a past-time.
The majesty of the mountains and waterfalls in the area around Lake Lure are so picturesque that they appear to be torn from the pages of National Geographic.
From shopping and fine dining to golf and fishing, there is something for everyone here... oh, except for folks who like traffic noise, we don't have any of that.
