Neighbourhood and Area
The surrounding neighbourhood is known as 'Queens Boundary', comprising of the houses between Queens Road and Boundary Road, and there are occasionally community events; keep an eye out for posters or check local listings. Walthamstow itself has excellent public transport links, and is served by two London Overground stations on two separate lines and an Underground station on the Victoria Line, the fastest Tube line in the city, with Walthamstow Central to Oxford Circus taking an average of 20mins. There are lots of London buses and the new TfL Superloop serves Walthamstow too. Check TfL for updates before you travel. In 2019, Waltham Forest, which also includes nearby Leyton, was named as the first London Borough of Culture. It's a wonderful, unique part of London, and for those of us who call it home, it's emblematic of many of the best things about the city as a whole.
