We enjoyed the house and area and loved the private beach,it was ideal for small children. Recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable house, close to the beach.
The cottage was everything we needed for our family of 5 adults. It was clean and comfortable. The grill appeared to be fairly new as it was very clean and worked well. The location was great as less than 10 min walk to the beach. We discovered the Sailing Cow Cafe for lunch and drinks which was only a short walk away.
We had a great time and the location of this house can't be beat. 3 minute walk to beach and quick walk to Joey's Pizza, bars, restaurants and ice cream. We also went kayaking on Bass River which was only a 5 minute drive. The house was clean and appliances were new and worked well. Since we drove, we packed our own sheets so minimized laundry on check-out day.

Thank-you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our home.

It was lovely and we had a wonderful week. The town beaches in Chatham are bigger and nicer. High tide does not impact room to sit. Private beach steps are steep and not easy to navigate with beach gear.
We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean (which is a top priority to us). The outdoor shower was so perfect after beach days and we loved the mudroom/ laundry room entrance on the side to drop our shoes and towels. The house was very spacious for us. It was our family of 3 (myself, my husband, and our 2yr old). Mariann was great to communicate with. We would recommend this property.

Hello,
Thanks for your review,we are glad you and your family enjoyed your stay in the Cape.Have a good summer.

The house is in a good location, very clean, every amenity you'd need. The outdoor shower is great after a day at the beach, and the cart provided is a godsend for getting chairs, etc. to the beach. There was no info in the welcome binder to let us know where the private beach was, or a note to warn you that it involves a lot of steps. Luckily the public beach is a short distance away (with a great restaurant right across the street).I was surprised to find on arrival that I had to make all of the beds and empty the full dishwasher. But the expectation on check out to have all sheets and towels washed, dried and folded was a lot to ask with the potential of 5 beds and 7 guests and have it all done by 10 am (plus packing and cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast). That's a real time crunch since each load takes an hour in the washer. We found a full dryer of pillow cases and blankets on check out, which we could have used.Overall happy with the place, though.

Thank-you for your review of our property we are glad you enjoyed your stay. I did want to clarify we keep the sheets off the beds to ensure they have been washed/dried for our next renters. Also, some renters like to bring their own linens & this is why we don't have the beds made ahead of time. Regarding the private beach, we do have photos on the website showing the staircase, but we can certainly add this info to the welcome binder as well. We hope you will consider renting with us again in the future. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Regards.

Very short walk to a very nice private beach. Quiet neighborhood. Beds comfy. Everything in the house worked well: central air, all plumbing, all the appliances, TVs, wifi, outdoor grill, vacuum etc, and kitchen appliances are updated (unlike rest of home which has not). Loved that the TVs had access to multiple streaming platforms, and accounts had already been created for adults and kids, so you don't have to use your own. House was clean - no sand under our feet on check-in! Brought my own sheets and towels so I didn't have to deal with owner's rule about washing/folding her stuff b4 checkout. The yard is not great, if you care about that (I don't). No beach chairs or beach cart as mentioned in listing. Bottom line: A good basic rental for the price, considering two families split the cost. We enjoyed our stay.

My family and I stayed at this house for a week in mid-August and had a wonderful experience. The location is great because it is walking distance to the beach and a very short drive to Rt. 28. The house was clean and comfortable with great sleeping arrangements.
We had a wonderful stay at this cute beach cottage. Very clean, A/C worked great, Great proximity to the Beach, restaurants and bars. If I can make any suggestions: Beds could be updated, it's a bit of a pain to have to have all laundry washed and folded by 10am check out. We ended up bringing our own linens. All in all, lovely stay and I would definitely stay there again!
We had a great vacation. The location of the house was wonderful. The owner was helpful and responsive to questions but probably should re-think their cleaning company as we are the 2nd family with a cleaning issue.
The property itself was good. The biggest perk being the private beach. That being said, I found the house not cleaned well. Being in the middle of COVID 19, I thought the house would be cleaner. I felt that I should clean the place before the rest of the family arrived. After that we did have a problem but the owners took care of it rapidly and were very nice about it. The house was well equipped. The beds except the king size bed were uncomfortable. There is plenty of linen, but if using their linen you need to wash and dry it before you leave. That was not a problem, except the people before me never finished the laundry so I had to do it.
We had a wonderful stay at the house! It was conveniently located - we could walk to the beach and some restaurants. It was also in very close driving distance to grocery stores, food stands, etc. The house is located in a friendly neighborhood that wasn’t too busy. The kids could ride their scooters in the street. The cute backyard patio was perfect for relaxing in the evening.
My friend and I brought our four children to this property for an “end of the summer” celebration! It was an amazing location that allowed us the opportunity to experience many different aspects of the Cape!
Property was as advertised - a bit dated, but functional. Having 2nd full bath and outdoor shower was a major plus for our group. Short walk to the beach which was great for the mid-90's temperatures. Great location to explore other parts of the Cape.
Unfortunately during our stay we experienced 2 tornado warnings. The first one was at night and we took shelter in the basement - which was thankfully clean, but hopefully no other renters would need to utilize that space for this reason! The second one we were not at the rental and upon return to the house there were multiple trees down in the yard (no damage to house) I immediately notified the property manager of the situation and she seemed disinterested and did express any concern for our well-being or inconvenience, which was highly disappointing.
The weather we experienced was very rare and not likely to occur again, but my dealing with the property manager regarding the situation left a lot to be desired - reason for overall rating of 3 stars.

Hello-
It was an unfortunate event that there was a tornado at the time you were renting. I apologize if you misunderstood that I was not concerned. You did share the photos of the fallen tree & I responded it would be a few days before I can get it removed. I also sent you an update as to when the power would be back on when I contacted Eversource. I am unable to control the weather & once again apologize for that inconvenience.

Property is a little aged but that goes for all dennisport beach rentals. With its close proximity to the beach (300 steps) its ideal for for 2 families with young kids.
This house was the perfect size and location for a summer girls trip. It was a quick walk to the beach, and a quick ride into town for the store, restaurants, and bars. Mariann was excellent and responded to every message within 15 minutes if I had a question. Would highly recommend!
