The house was welcoming, clean and had everything we needed. We were 8 people (grandparents, adult children and grandchildren), there was plenty of space for gathering together and for privacy. The host was very easy to communicate with while planning our stay. The instructions left at the house were easy to understand. We all really enjoyed our stay.Thank you!

Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted that your family gathering was a positive experience in our home. You are always welcome to return.
I’ve stayed in several VRBOs and this was by far the cleanest! The house overall is really good sized, but some areas/rooms were a bit cramped just given the age of the house and/or furniture. This house really felt like someone’s home and not just a rental, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely book again if needed.

Thank you so much for your kind description of our home. We have always felt that our place is like a Home Away from Home, a true Cape treasure. We hope the opportunity
arises when you will be able to return again. You are always welcome.
We had an amazing stay. Alison was very accommodating and helped with any issue we had for the weekend. Was so knowledgeable of the area and gave great recommendations for local places.
Very clean. Great location for getting around, easy drives to most areas of Cape Cod though we did not go further than Chatham to the east and barnstable to the west. Convenient to essential shopping such as grocery and gas stations.
This was our first time visiting the Cape, and wow were we impressed! The placement of the home and location to everything was amazing. Awesome time and would highly recommend for anyone interested in visiting! Can't thank Allison enough!

It was a pleasure to help you with ideas for surprising your wife with a trip to Cape Cod! So happy that our home worked so well for you!! Do come again!
We had a great time at this rental. It had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space. Groceries, gas, and restaurants nearby. It's not modern, but it checks the boxes.

So happy our home was both comfortable and convenient to both needs and popular locations. Our home is meant to give the traditional homey flavor of the Cape with an updated kitchen and open space to the family room plus additional living room with fireplace and windows that look out into the woods. Add to that a huge space for children’s playtime in the clean carpeted basement, especially on a rainy day, with plenty of games! Volleyball or badminton can be set up in the yard, or even a water slide! Paths through the woods give exploration fun!
It has everything the children needed from sleeping accommodations to games and entertainment. The weather wasn’t great so we spent lots of time in the house and it felt like home.

So happy our home afforded you all you needed despite the inclement weather!
Our group of life-long friends spent a long weekend on the Cape in this perfectly located house. Everything you could wish for in a rental, including plenty of beds, 3 full bathrooms and a nice deck with a modern grill. Owner is very nice and communicates all the details. We’ve rented this same house for three years now, look forward to booking again next spring!
Everything was as the write up, clean, good tips for us when we arrived. Great kitchen and den and close to many golf courses!

About the host
Hosted by Alison Clark
Alison is a recently retired teacher while John is retired from Ciba-Geigy and from instructing the Dale Carnegie Course. They make their primary home in New Jersey, close to 15 grandchildren. Alison summered on Cape Cod from the mid-1950's when her Grandparents retired to the Cape from the Berkshires to escape mountain snows. The house is Alison and John's second home when others are not there to enjoy it and they keep it immaculate and updated. Their caretaker and grounds keeper lives right down the street and is always available when needed.
Why they chose this property
The original property was a single lot and the original small cape cod home was built by a local contractor for my grandparents when they retired. The original home passed down to the next generation, and my father decided to expand and update the home to fulfill the dreams so often spoken of by the women of the family. Today it is a lovely airy home, fully updated, environmentally sound, new furnace, new windows, and a second piece of property to keep and expand the feeling of the original wooded property.
What makes this property unique
The minute you walk in the door, you feel the tensions of life fall away. The large windowed family room just welcomes you in, and soon you find it is the center of your time in the house. It leads you to the deck where we love to share our meals outdoors, or sit quietly to read a great book. The kitchen is wonderfully spacious for cooking. Step out the door and you are only minutes from every possible Cape Cod activity or restaurant due to the home's central location. Or just stay on the property and enjoy...there is lots available to do right there! Badminton, soccer, foosball, air hockey, board games. It truly is a Home Away From Home...... and you have the time to enjoy it!
