House was extremely clean. I enjoyed seeing the deer in the morning out under the apple trees. My only complaint, and the reason I am giving this house 4 stars, was the lack of water pressure in the shower. The water came out in a trickle which made it difficult to take a shower. Other than that, this was a wonderful place to stay. The proximity to the beach in Port Austin was nice - less than 10 minute drive. If you are looking for a clean, cozy place to stay in Port Austin, this is the place!
Well the stay was nice, the property was old but doable. No central air but they did have a couple ac units hooked up and a lot of fans to try cool the house down. There was no blow dryer available and the only thing updated was the second bathroom. Oh and there was zero water pressure. Overall it has lots of potential to be a super nice rental.
We all had a great time going to Port Austin for the Farmers Market…shopping..watching the sunset every night..also going bike riding..jet skiing and enjoying the beaches.first night ate at the Bank… in which we had eaten there several times before.. the last night we didn’t want to venture to far.. so we had a wonderful meal at Bird Creek Farms.. and as for my little girl (Bichion) Andie she really didn’t know what to think of being in a strange place… but she loved running around the yard… can’t post any pictures of our trip ..since my daughter’s boyfriend took all the pictures.. he lost his phone while jet skiing
It is an old farm house that is being updated. Also not sure what the issue was with water system but they shocked it with bleach and told us we could not drink water but supplied us with "plastic jugs of drinking water" so cooking and washing dishes we used jugs of water. We did shower with plumbed water The tub bathroom had a "sewer" "septic" smell to it. The other bathroom was a newer bathroom with a nice walk-in shower. They had fragrances plug ins everywhere in house which was too overwhelming. Beds were not updated matresses. Overall I give a 3 out of 5. And NO CENTRAL AC. The main floor bedroom had AC. Upstairs had a weird very old mobile AC unit with a vent to outside for both bedrooms and a fan in other bedroom. Cleanliness was a 5. The view of Farmland was fantastic as well as the abundance of deer off in the distance! We were 2 miles from Harbor where we kept our boat in a boat slip for our boating time on the water.
Bob was helpful throughout the process. He was very timely answering all of our questions. The house had everything we needed including jugs of water and amazing cable TV through XFinity. The house was definitely off the beaten path but was comfy for all 5 of us. Very pet friendly.

This property was quiet on a big piece of land. Even though this farmhouse was older, it was super clean and close to Port Austin and Caseville. Had a fire in their firepit one night which was really nice. We did bring several standing fans as there is only A/C in one of the bedrooms. In 90 degree weather, the upstairs was hot. It says it sleeps 8 but I would say it comfortably sleeps 5 adults (2 full size beds, 1 twin bed) and if you have a couple little kids one could sleep on the futon (has a bar that is very uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on when opened) and one child could sleep on the small loveseat (it's listed as a full size sleeper sofa, but was in rough condition and felt every spring so we had to just sleep on the couch itself. They do have well water so if you can't stand the smell of sulfur, this would not be for you. They do provide gallons of fresh water for cooking, coffee, etc. which was nice. For the price you can definitely overlook some of the amenities that may only be included in a more expensive place.

Dirty upon arrival
The house wasn’t cleaned from the last guests; there were towels on the floor in the bathroom and wrinkly, dirty sheets on the bed. They were able to clean after we called, but it was disappointing that it wasn’t cleaned prior to us getting there.
Outside of that, it was ok. The water is hard without a softener, and it was challenging to cool down most of the house with the window AC being in the bedroom.
We knew it was an old house, but the house not being cleaned upon arrival really put a damper on our trip.
